Very friendly and helpfull staff, as other reviewers have said its right in the main part of Chamonix for the bars and restuarants and with excellent views from the bedrooms and dining room.
Will go back as its excellent value for money

A very central hotel right in the heart of chamonix. For skiers it is perfect as access to the slopes is 20 yards from the hotel. Situated on the main street has instant access to the best restaurants and pubs.Although a bit dated it offers every comfort sometimes not seen in the more modern hotels.Definitley the best place to stay in chomonix and very reasonable.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Would describe it as having faded decadence which only adds to its charm. Staff were very helpful and friendly; room was good with a view of the mountains; back door led straight to ski bus stop and the front door was straight onto padestrian area near ski hire shops, bars, shops and restaurants - couldn't be better placed in Chamonix.

We only stayed one night on our way to Italy. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely view of Mont Blanc. On doorstep to restaurants, bars etc. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Would not want to stay anymore than a couple of nights.
