We booked through alpha rooms, though when we arrived the reception had no record of it. It was a bit of the case of "Computer says No". We provided booking details and even proof of payment from the credit card. They were unwilling to help and were quite rude. Unwilling to look into the issue until we asked her to call someone looking after the systems. It was then sorted.
The ground floor and breakfast area were acceptable for the price and the breakfast good standard fare with helpful staff there. There did not appear to be a lift and the rooms were very shabby and the corridors and stairways something from Trotter towers. The fourth floor was abandoned and looked very dirty. It was close to the city as it said on the tin as a positive point.
