This small hotel would probably rate as a good 3 star. It is in a convenient location although in a quiet back street. The small breakfast area gives a good substantial breakfast as you would get at most hotels and although off the entrance and reception area is fine due to the size of the hotel. The beds are huge and comfortable and although we stayed on the fourth floor the room was quite a good size but we did not see any of the larger rooms for comparision.

We couldn't fault this hotel. Fantastic rooms and service for a very good price. As a cleanliness freak I couldn't fault the room or bathroom, the size of which were both great. Brilliant location and lovely hotel which all in all made our trip!

I would recommend this hotel, breakfast and staff good. Had similar experience to John Miktchell (2/7/07) Rooms on 3rd floor excellent but we had to move from room 301 to 402 and were a bit disappointed, although adequate it was not as luxurious as 301. We were told there were no other rooms available and has we had booked the rooms the previous May I was disappointed. However hotel is clean, well situated for the old square and Charles Bridge as well as the Jewish Quarter. I would book again but not the 4th floor.

This is an excellent hotel with everything you need for a good price. The location is good if a bit daunting when you first arrive. The Dahab restaurant and Casa Argentina restaurant nearby are good. Astro clocks are a bit of a disappointment but get out into the streets and search for some really good little bars and see how much cheaper it gets! Fab time and would recommend staying in this hotel to anyone. If you have trouble with stairs - request a room on floors 1-3

Christmas Market break
09 December 2007
We found the hotel clean, modern and in a good location. the breakfast was satisfactory and reception was open 24hrs. To balance it out though, the top floor gets very hot and although asking reception if the aircon could be used in the room where there is an individual control it was not made accessible. There is no kettle in the room and a trek to the drinks machine from the 4th floor is to be avioded. The drinks water, tea etc are free at breakfast only, all other times you have to pay which was a disappointment for this level and cost of hotel.

The hotel facilities were excellent. The room was spacious, clean and with a large double bed. There was good choice at breakfast and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is situated in a quiet back street but very close to the Old Square and other places of interest as well as numerous restuarants. Value for money - excellent! We would fully recommend this hotel.

Great hotel!
21 August 2007
I must admit whilst booking I was a little worried but when we arrived we were so pleasantly surprised!
The reception area is all open plan and very clean with friendly helpful receptionists!
Our room was on the 2nd floor and we were very pleased with the room- very spacious, plenty of storage, good lighting and an excellent bathroom! believe me I am very fussy and I couldn't find fault at all.
The breakfast was very good with a good selection of cold and hot choices. There is a drinks machine in the reception which is free so there is no need for kettles etc in the bedroom.
The location was again excellent with some very good restaurants and bars are within a short walking distance.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone who would like a good class hotel for good value.

We found the hotel clean in a brilliant location and the rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Facilities were good but no tea/coffee fecilities in the room, unfortunately we found reception staff rude and unhelpful.

A Very Nice Hotel
19 July 2007
A very comfortable hotel. The hotel is situated in a good area away from any clubs and traffic. Based on the price we paid, I think the hotel is of good value. The only complaint I have is that every time when we entered our room it smelt like someone had been smoking.

Agree entirely with review by Phil Williams (14th June 2007). Only thing I would add is that the rooms on the 2nd & 3rd floors are far superior than those on the top floor. We were relocated from 401 to 204 - what a difference. So don't settle for the top floor as you also have a flight of stairs to climb due to the lift only serving up to the third level. All staff are very courteous and helpful.

A wonderful small friendly hotel in a fantastic location not far from the main St Westleslas square. Hotel clean and tidy but would be great if it had tea and coffee facilities in room and maybe a small bar in reception.

Excellent hotel
14 June 2007
In a prime location, about 5 minutes walk to the Old Town Square. Quiet area, with a local nursery school around the back. This is a small hotel with around 15 rooms.
No bar or restaurant, but 24 hour reception and excellent and friendly staff.
Our room was very good, with a large bed, and plenty of space. Excellent en-suite facilities. The room was very clean and well serviced during our stay.
The breakfast was very good too. Lots of choice from scrabbled eggs and sausage with the lots of choice of fruit, cereals, toast, cold meats and cheese, preserves, pastries.
Highly recommended.

Nice stay
27 April 2007
Nice and clean hotel, comfortable rooms, good facilities, close to downtown and not far from the tourist attractions. We were relocated here from an overbooking of another hotel, but we didn't miss anything.

Review of 'Residence Agnes'
25 March 2007
we were relocated here due to over booking at another hotel. The alley the hotel is situated in was a bit daunting at first but once you get your bearings you will find the hotel is in an ideal location, not too close but not too far from pubs restaurants and main tourist areas - take a right when you come out of the hotel door and when you come to the end of the alley turning left or going straight on you will eventually pick up a main thoroughfare into the touristy bits. Hotel does not have a bar or restaurant,( tables for buffet breakfast are situated in large but cosy area immediately inside the main entrance next to reception desk) breakfast selection ok. The modern conversion has clean spacious comfortable rooms on four floors (lift to third floor, you walk the rest but not far). The en suite rooms have the usual mod cons but no tea / coffee making facilities so if you like a late cuppa take a travel kettle. Across the alley is a chinese restaurant (china moon), not the ritz but excellent food and friendly service with draught czech beer. Becoming familiar with the area we can say we were glad to be relocated to this hotel. There are probably better (and more expensive) hotels in the area but we would try and use this hotel again if we returned to Prague knowing the location and amenities were ok so we could get on with enjoying our break.
