The Renoir Hotel is a friendly boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, in the Theatre District between Union Square and the Civic Center. Guests can enjoy some mouth watering dishes in the Café do Brasil restaurant whilst the lounge bar is an ideal spot to socialise and relax with a drink. The Renoir Hotel offers comfortable accommodation and an ideal base from which to explore San Francisco. PLEASE NOTE: Renovation work will be taking place on the second floor of the hotel until the end of March 2008

Stayed in Renoir for 3 days during St. Patrick's weekend. As already stated in the previous reviews, the location of the hotel is just perfect! Area might not be very "posh" but you will be handy in the middle of the city, only few minutes walk to the main shopping district and public transportation at your door step to nearly anywhere in SF. The staff were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The room is spacious enough, could do with a little bit of modernising (bring your own towel btw... the ones from the hotel were ridiculously small). All in all, I cannot say that I can complain and would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to get the most out of the location and does not intend to spent all of the city break in the hotel.
