Review of 'CLARION RENDEZVOUS STAFFORD'
07 May 2005
Stayed for a week in Sydney and couldn't have chosen a better hotel in a better location. There were more flash places in the vicinity but the ambience of this hotel combined with its unique position in the original part of Sydney sets it apart from the rest, not to mention the proximity to the Lord Nelson Pub which was something of a bonus!!
The Rocks with all its shops and restaurants is on the doorstep and Circular Quay could be reached by crossing the road and going down the quaint Nurses Steps. The whole World passes you by as you walk by the large cruise ships, passed the Manly Ferry Key and then saunter on to the Opera House Bar where you don't want the afternoon and early evening to end. This is a marvellous spot to watch the world go by as the evening Opera goers vie with one another for best dressed or, in some cases, the worst!! No-one seems to bother, that's the way in Sydney - Cosmopolitan and varied in every way. Come as you are and go away a different person.
The Hotel itself is clean, spacious and overlooks the Harbour - we had a fantastic view of the Opera House. The staff can't be more helpful and helped us to arrange several excursions. The attraction , however, is the location. If you have never been to Sydney before try this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
