Mini break with P&O
21 March 2008
Great location for sightseeing. We pre-booked a twin room overlooking the canal and were not disappointed. It was huge with all facilities, hairdryer etc. - however no tea and coffee making equipment in room. Wonderful breakfast and great choice. Staff were helpful, polite and smart. Would stay here again. Also much cheaper booking through Alpharooms than any other site.

The hotel is situated 1 canal away from Dam square. Everything is within walking distance including the busy shops, canals, the musiums and the hustle and bustle of the red light district!! The hotel was clean tasteful decor very friendly staff and the servicing of the room was done every morning. Would def return!

Great place to stay, middle of every thing. Security was very good, only problem unable to supply the room ordered. Our view of their office was great, while our friends had a fantastic view of the canal. Food was excellent.

Review of 'REMBRANDT RESIDENCE'

Breakfast was adequate,if you dont mind cheese every morning.Forget about your diet for a while.Rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and happy to help.but our room was very small and we were glad it wasnt the middle of summer. Our bedroom window opened up in a courtyard and you needed it opened up at night to reduce the claustrophobia. The location of the hotel is excellent, near alot of areas to visit and a short walk from Dam Square. We have not used this hotel again as the room size has put us off.I forgot to say that the shape of the room was an L shape that obviously made the room smaller.

Excellent location and clean accommodation. Breakfast adequate and better than some hotels we have stayed in! Our only criticism was the lack of an extractor fan in the bathrooms. They got very steamy!

What a gem, the most helpful staff you could ever wish for and besides the friendly, helpful staff the hotel was perfect, nice paceful canal setting but within a few minutes stroll to the main squares and sites. Well recommended.

Canals and elegance - do the Rembrandt Residence!
21 June 2005
The hotel was a delight. Simply furnished rooms, ultra comfy bed and views over the canal while enjoying breakfast in the informal restaurant. The staff really friendly and helpful. The Rembrandt Residence is on the Herengracht, which means Gentlemans Canal, and as a three star hotel it upholds the tradition of simple elegance with the informality which abounds in Amsterdam. Lovely!

Lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The location is perfect as its close to the Jordaan and Dam Square. The only reason I dont give it a 5 is because there was no air conditioning, and it was really hot.(In July). Other than that - a fabulous place to stay.
