The Hotel Regente is ideally located steps away from the Gran Via in downtown Madrid. Built in 1951 and renovated in 2003, the hotel boasts 154 rooms over 10 floors, of which 20 are singles and 134 are doubles. Guests are offered a 24-hour reception with a hotel safe, a currency exchange desk, a lift a bar and a café. Additional facilities include a TV room, a conference room as well as an Internet terminal. Room and laundry services are also available. In the hotel's own car park and garage, guests can park their cars safely.

I stayed for 3 nights - the location is great, near cinemas, bars restaurants and a varied number of shops. The rooms are basic but have the comforts you need. Staff are very friendly, breakfast is good and served from 7:30 to 10:30am good times - fantastic bar area serving reasonable priced drinks (a lot cheaper than out of the hotel). This was my second time to the hotel - Isabel from Southern Spain
