Built in an industrial classic style, the four star Radisson SAS Hotel in Silkeborg is housed in an historic building in the area where this harbour city was founded. It all began in 1846 when a paper factory was established in Silkeborg and today our hotel is surrounded by large forests and beautiful lakes, offering our visitors a unique harmony of countryside and water. The hotel is within walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. Each of our 88 rooms is equipped state-of-the-art facilities, and our Business Class rooms and suites are designed in a natural and classic style. Restaurant Riverside, our fine dining restaurant, serves lunch, snacks and dinner and in the summer opens up the large terrace, which offers great views of the Gudena River. The new Restaurant 1a with its cosy balcony is right by the harbour and offers wonderful views of the lakes, the forest and the city. The Lobby Bar has a cosy ambience with its fireplace and warm design. The building complex where the hotel is located offers five cinemas, a cultural house, and a Spa & Health Centre. Our conference facilities are flexible and can accommodate a meeting for 12 or an event for 800.
