Review of Radisson SAS Portman

Stayed at the Radisson over a bank holiday weekend. Breakfast was served until noon on both the Sunday and the Bank Holiday Monday - and what a breakfast! Best buffet I have come across in a long time. Rooms were excellent. Spacious, comfortable bed, soft towels, - all you'd hope for. Only annoyance was the mild whirr of an air-conditioning unit outside the bedroom window. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended. Staff very courteous and efficient.

Top class hotel right in the centre of town, with notably easy access to Oxford Street. Rooms were great with plenty of facilities and the breakfast buffet set you up for the day. Would stay here again on my next trip to London.

From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Although there was a mix up as to the type of room allocated to us ,this was rectified swiftly and without any fuss. If you are looking for a central base for a relaxing and comfortable stay in London then this one has to be high on your shortlist.

Arriving by car at 6.30pm Steven, the doorman, welcomed us and took the car. Check in was smooth with 3 positions available. The lobby was bright and clean with plenty of casual seating available and a seperate coffee bar.

The room was clean and well equiped although the lighting was not ideal.

Bathrobes and slippers were placed in the room although housekeeping had only provided one set and failed to provide the second set when requested.

Breakfast was excellent and substantial and available until 11am, which allowed for a lie in.

The hotel's location is ideal for shopping, being close to Oxford St, Selfridges and St Christopher's Place.

We would definately stay at the hotel again and completely enjoyed our stay.
