The Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel is located on the banks of the Rhine in Dusseldorf. Situated in the vicinity of the Konigsalle shopping boulevard, the Old Town and the business district, this hotel is close to all the main tourist attractions and offers some of the best rooms and service in the city. The exquisite La Jardin Restaurant serves an International menu, while the Kurassier Lounge is known for its cocktails and snacks. Guests have free access to the Pool Club, which has a swimming pool and sauna, while business delegates will also be catered for with the extensive conference facilities. All guest rooms are well equipped with all the amenities one could expect from a hotel of its class, and the Presidential suite on the tenth floor has fabulous views of the city.

This is a good quality hotel with all the usual amenities that you would expect from the Radisson chain although I would probably rate it 4 star rather than 5 star…but in fairness we only stayed for three nights ‘bed and breakfast’ and we didn’t use many of the hotel’s facilities. A special mention for the staff on Reception who were excellent. Although close to The Rhine, the hotel is a good thirty minute walk from the main sites of the city so familiarise yourself with the superb tram system. There is a stop 100 yards from the hotel entrance and there are literally trams every few minutes. We didn’t have an evening meal in the restaurant because, quite simply, there are so many excellent restaurants in The Alstadt area of Dusseldorf....not to mention the wonderful beer houses!!
