Review of 'Radisson Hotel LAX Airport'

09 March 2008
Stayed here February 2008 on our way to Mexico. As other reviews suggest it is very quiet, comfortable, convenient for the airport and very pleasant dining/breakfast available in hotel. Would definately use this hotel and Alpharooms again.

Reception problem

28 August 2007
Stayed here for 2 nights before flying back to UK and found the hotel very convenient for LAX as all the reports say. Shuttle to airport was fine, about every 15 mins. Room comfortable and dining in the hotel was very good and not too expensive. Penthouse bar worth having a drink in, particularly for the amazing views watching the unbelievable traffic! We did however, encounter a very dim receptionist who insisted that they only had one night booked for us instead of two and refused to sort it out, despite me having the confirmation voucher proving otherwise. She suggested I pay the "walk in" rate (VERY pricey) and then sort it out myself! Asked for a supervisor and got the head receptionist who gave her a real dressing down about her attitude to me and proceeded to let me check (after being messed about for 20 minutes) in at last and even apologised for the treatment we'd received which went some way to restoring my faith in the hotel! Got overcharged for a couple of things on my bill, so just be wary. Otherwise - good choice for LAX.

The Radisson Lax is the closest hotel to the airport.Once you have your luggage go outside and wait under the red "hotel shuttle bus sign"and watch for the hotel shuttle its blue with Radisson Lax on the front they run about every 20 min to and from hotel (free).Flag him down and you are in hotel in minutes. The staff on reception are very good.
The rooms are excellent our double had 2 very confortable double beds, coffee machine, iron and board, high speed internet,tv and games.
Breakfast and lunch is served in the Century Restaurant there is a good choice we had the continental buffet breakfast very nice.Dinner is in the Palmira.
The hotel also has a fitness centre and outside is an olympic size pool.
Being so close to the airport its perfect for a first or last night stay in Los Angeles.
Thanks Alpharooms for another great stay.

Review of 'Radisson Hotel LAX Airport'

stayed at the hotel last year after a long flight, and did the same before an early flight this time. Shuttle service has changed since last year & it was pretty much a let down, waited for over a half an hour for a shuttle that was supposed to come every 10-15 minutes. Shuttle wasnt marked correctly..."Radisson" marked shuttle was for mid-town or downtown Radisson not LAX Rad.
My correct shuttle is for Crown Plaza and Rad, really irritating after waiting 30 minutes and stopping at every terminal AND Crown Plaza to get to my room- whole process took an hour. Shuttle driver was RUDE too.
Don't get me wrong, I actually like this hotel & will mostly likely stay here again, but this was a let down compared to last year.
Also our "non-smoking" room/floor reeked of cigarettes.

Its a beautiful hotel. the room service menu was really pricey but came proply as ordered at 6am next morning

Review of 'RADISSON LAX AIRPORT'

25 October 2005
The hotel is ideal for an overnight stay either after a long flight or before a flight home.Check-in was very quick & the staff were more than helpful. There was no noise whatsoever from the planes, however you could hear quite clearly the people in the next room. We will definitely stay at the Radisson on our next trip to Los angeles.

If you're having to stay a night in LA to change planes, this is a perfect place to stay.

There's a shuttle to each terminal which is very useful.

The pool is enormous and warm most of the year, the gym is a bit spartan but useful nonetheless.

You'd never know you were so close to the airport, can hardly hear the aeroplanes.

Check out the cocktail bar on the top floor - great views

Overall, a pleasant surprise! The room was very nice and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable! With the push of a button you can adjust the bed to the perfect firmness to meet your personal needs. The bed is covered with a wonderful down comforter. And surprisingly, for a hotel of such close proximaty to the airport, I did not hear any outside noise. So overall, I had a phenomenal nights rest in my room...The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly...Though I did not did not dine at any of the hotel's facilities, I ventured up to the top of the hotel where they have a nice little lounge with an almost 360 degree view...And considering the unbelievablely low price I paid, I would highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent hotel. Located right adjacent to LAX airport. We stayed here for 5 nights in August and found the location to be ideal for exploring Los Angeles. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms were large and very comfortable. Fully soundproofed so no airport noise. Large TV with pay per view movies and playstation gaming. Excellent airconditioning unit which was not too noisy. While we didn't utilise the pool area we did have a view of it from our bedroom window and it looked lovely. We had availed of a car from the nearby rental car agency and were able to come and go to the hotel car park as we pleased. Parking cost us $60 for the five days. The hotel was roughly 500 metres from the 405 freeway which was our gateway to all the local attractions. We dod not use the dining facilities in the hotel so I cannot comment on them. There are plenty of diners (Dennys) etc within walking distance from the hotel. Overall, an excellent hotel, with very friendly staff and spotless rooms. Would strongly recommend it for anyone travelling to LA.

Excellent hotel.  Very friendly, even entertaining staff at front desk, at a very late hour during check-in.

Rooms well furnished, and sound insulated.  Shuttle bus much appreciated.

Overall, a very good stay, however, the price of breakfast was pricy.
