Review of 'Quality Inn and Suites Downtown'
22 November 2006
My stay was in November 2006.
The hotel is presentable and just finishing a refurb so it was a little noisy at times during the day. The staff were friendly and presentable although some did struggle with English. It's set right on the border of Korean Town with plenty of parking underground and opposite the hotel, secure obviuously to a point. I'd recommend the Korean BBQ restaurant opposite, busy every night with a first come first approach, you can't book a table. Superb food. Breakfast in the hotel provided daily comprised of cereals, breads and coffee - as much as you can eat which is enough to get your day started. Room was a large size, fridge, hair dryer, safe (at cost $1 daily), TV, FREE fast internet wireless access were all included.
I'd recommend a car if you can afford it, nearby by AVIS in Figaro on near 6th Street were spot on. Avoid pick and drop at airport it's $20 tax for each. Not many places you'd want to walk to in the evening so the car was a saviour.
I've used 2 Star hotels in the US before and this was by far the best and you couldn't argue with the price.
