Set in a beautiful position on the Isis island just a 10 minute boat trip from central Aswan, the Pyramisa Isis Island Hotel is a superb resort hotel with some of the friendliest staff in Egypt! We were truly made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them.
From the hotel many major tourist attractions can be reached including the world famous Abu Simbel temple & the Temple at Philae. Other, more local atractions, include the river Nile itself (various boat trips are available to take in the wonderful views and sights), Kitcheners' Botanical Gardens and the local souks.
The only drawbacks to the hotel that we encountered were a lack of ATM & room safe and a slighly 'worn' appearance in some areas. The two large and interesting swiming pools have fantastic views over the river as do the rooms - I personally preferred the view over the west bank of the Nile. The hotel boats leave for the mainland every 10 minutes and take approx 10 miutes each way.
Excellent value for money and very comfortable hotel.
