Well, what can I say???? Not just because this was a honeymoon and everything felt special, this hotel truly was. It wasn't oppressive like some 5 stars, but small, friendly and typically Florentine. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome, the rooms were large and clean and had quaint touches to them. The hotel did not have a bar, but with a mini bar with cheap prices like that and bars surrounding the area it was not needed. You could actually buy alcohol and coffee to drink at the many sofas around the hotel from the main reception. The hotel was just a 3 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station and 5 minutes from the spectacular outdoor market. The breakfast was typically continental so if you want full English, don't choose this hotel, but I always say when in Rome..... (or Florence in this case).
We loved it so much, we intend to go again. In fact, although Florence was fantastic, the hotel being in the position it was helped us enjoy our stay all the more.
