Hotel Porta do Vento is the first hotel built after Feng shui principles. Brand-new opened in March 2007.Feng Shui is not simply a decorating style, but a discipline with guidelines compatible with many different techniques of architectural planning. The lady-owner of the hotel has carefully chosen colors, styles and materials in order to create what is now a very comfortable hotel. Natural and high quality materials have been used. Equipped with all modern amenities, such as elevator, hairdryer, TV and fridges in all rooms. The official 3 star rating understates the quality of this excellent hotel. The colors are changing and flowing through the whole house. The 15 rooms are unique and individually decorated optimizing use of space. The orthopedic mattresses are all ecofriendly and beds are king-size allowing comfort and relaxation. Most rooms have balconies or terraces and some rooms are with lovely wooden attic at sight. All in all a very stunning and interesting environment. Its positive and friendly air accompanies you from the charming little reception to the open lobby and bar. A very popular meeting point is the grill restaurant with its terrace. The natural stone barbecue offers a variety of dishes to hotel guests and locals. There is also a breakfast room and an inside bar. The hotel is full of charm and tranquility. Set in second row at the entrance of Santa Maria it is only a few meters away from the centre and the beach.
