Well it all depends on what you're coming to ibiza for. If you're a family coming away for a holiday, avoid it like the plague. If you're young and looking for a simple apartment in a good location then this does the job. The place is packed to the rafters with chavs being Brits abroad but if you get a room on the top floor with a sea view it is worth it. 100 yards from the coast by Kanya and Kasbah means that you are only 2 mins from the sunset strip and of course the views from there are amazing. I personally would try to get a villa or stay in Ibiza Town/Figuretes but this place was ok and for the money at a late stage I wasn't too upset. Our friends stayed at Ibiza Rocks and Poniente was the Ritz compared to that !

The Poniente was a great location in San Antonio to lay our heads (not that we did much sleeping). The staff was exceptionally courteous and went well out of their way to move us to a better room when our AC didn't work. The front desk was open 24 hours and very receptive all questions and needs. The kitchen was brand new and well stocked for simple cooking and cold storage. The bathrooms were small, but very clean and functional. The common room and bedrooms were HUGE and provided lots of space to store spare luggage out of the way. The balcony faced the back of the adjacent building, but the rest of the room and the wonderful staff made up for it. Hotel bar/snack bar and small grocery downstairs were incredibly convenient. The location was great - just a short walk from the promenade/clubs and 2 minutes from the shore. We couldn't have asked for better for the value. I definitely recommend the Pon for younger travelers seeking the party atmosphere in Ibiza - you'll meet tons of younger people from all over the world. Would not recommend this hotel for families and older travelers, as it has a "college dorm" feel and can be pretty loud and rowdy at times.

Stayed there couple years ago but still cant forget it. Staff was really lovely, Aparatments were huge! Loved our balcony! Flawless! :)

Review of 'Poniente'

This was the infamous Heat Hotel back in 2005 for radical escapes.com & Ibizan Heat - and is ideally located for clubbers; 1 minutes walk from Kanya and Coastline, and 5 mins around the promenade to Mambo, Cafe Del Mar & suset strip.
Best thing about the Pon is the size of the aprtments- really big compared with others of this accommodation type. Top floor rooms have sunterraces the size of badminton courts, in fact. So our promoters and DJ's loved it. Will definitely use this place again - but next time we'll takr the whole place and have it exclusively.

Nice & clean, Staff pleasant, pity the bar closed early, bit noisey at times with people not closing doors properly but bareable, would go back as its near everything

This is a clean hotel with good facilities shop/bar/pool. We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in but the staff quickly cleaned the room and let us enter early. The room was clean and equipped with cuttlery, pans, microwave, hob and the all important fridge. There were 2 rooms in our apartment one which was quite big with a private balcony and the other which only just fit 2 beds in! The bathroom was rather on the small side but clean none the less. Overall the hotel was nice but was located a good 15-20 minute walk from the West End and the pool was not within the grounds either. The reception staff were rather miserable too!!!

If you want to party for 2 weeks these apartments never stop!!! music and partying goes on all night long...the night porter was lovely and also all staff were really helpful!! If you want to sleep i kid you not take ear plugs as the 'sleep' word does not happen in happy town!!
The apartments are right next to a small, clean, and beautiful beach...24 shops are a stone through away with an excellant open grill restaurant next to the apartments.
You can play your own music by the pool...pool food not that great but good british place round the corner 'fatso's or sumthing like that...
A 10 minute walk from the west end and also the harbour!!
I had the time of my life hear and never wanted to leave...hope you have fun if you's have booked to stay here...trust me 'VIVA IBIZA'!!! I'll be back very soon!!!

one word - AWESOME!!!
Had a view of the sunset from our balcony, rooms were spotless. staff were great AND THE 24 HOUR BAR WAS A REAL PLUS!!
WILL DEFINATELY RECCOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!!

Massive rooms, pool across the road is excellent, great bar and shop. Staff extremely friendly! Would go back tomorrow!
