Excellent 3 star hotel

30 October 2008
We were there end Sept beg Oct. Our room was on a high floor pool view and we hired a fridge. Fantastic views. The room was big and comfortable. Reception ushered us in for our dinner as we arrived after 8pm so we wouldn't miss it, they took our bags and we checked in after, great service. Pool is lovely. Beach handy. Walk into town twice a day was brill. We love Puerto Pee and will definitely be going back to Pollensa Park. Food was plentiful and loads of choice. Entertainment can be cheesy but never boring and the live music got everyone up including the "home counties" for a quick step! Our 11 days flew in it was so good!

Not great but bearable!

29 September 2008
After reading many reviews and doing extensive research on this hotel, needless to say we were excited about going. However, when we arrived we were quite disappointed. Our room was pokey and it was very basic. We were told that some rooms are being modernised however ours was not one of these. We would definately recommend requesting a room on a higher floor (we were 6th and emailed the hotel direct asking for 'a room on a high floor on the right hand side looking up from the pool') as great views then. The walls in our room are paper thin as well, meaning we could hear everything going on around us. Another thing was that the hotel was very dated as were the majority of people staying there! The average age seemed about 75! It just made us feel old before our time and also meant that the evening entertainment was for older people - bingo, etc! The food is basic and just basic - we are not fussy eaters but there were a lot of nights where we were unsure about the food or even couldn't chose anything. Most of it is bland also. We went down most nights arund 7:30pm and there are queues. Same with breakfast - generally we were there around 9am. The pool is lovely and location great. We did have a car which made travelling around the island easy - there are some great places to visit - Soller, Formentor, Palma being a few and Valldemossa being our fave. Generally, we would not recommend this for younger couples or certainly not in September anyway (we are 23 and 27) - we were told there is a September group that go year on year! We heard many people say that a lot of people return back to that hotel - we reckon because they are older they just like the same environment every year. If you want a basic three star hotel then go for it but don't expect the world!

worth looking at for value

27 September 2008
We stayed for the second time this year, grandparents down to a 4 year old. Accomodation was good, but there is s bit of noise from bars opposite . This is more than made up for by the superb view of Pollensa and the sea, and the music stops at midnight. Staff are very helpfu. Entertainment in evenings varied and good. the children did not join in daytime activities but loved the mini disco and the play area. A 5 minute leisurely stroll to the beach is all you need when you are laden with lilos, tents etc. Also prom is very flat so no pushing prams up hills!! would recommend.

Pollensa Park

18 September 2008
At the ripe old age of 62yrs I have finally had my first holiday abroad and I can honestly say we couldn't have picked a better place to start. The hotel is nigh on perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful, polite and friendly. The room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. The dining room could not be faulted and the food was fantastic, for quality, quantity and variety. The pool, snackbar, entertainment, everything about our stay was first class. Puerto Pollensa itself is fantastic town with plenty of shops,a market and great beach. A totally enjoyable experience

Overall very nice indeed. The rooms were modern very nice and clean. The bathroom was spacious and nicely laid out with good quality appliances. The facilities are also good with a large pool and snack bar. There is good evening entertainment as well. It is also only 100 yards from a lovely beech and shops, restaurants and bars are all nearby. Staff were also friendly.

Perfect

22 August 2008
I have just come back from the Pollensa Park and cannot reccomend this hotel or Porto Pollensa highly enough. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, good food, warm pool, semi-professional entertainment, friendly staff, clean accomodation, quiet after midnight, beach across the road, etc this is the place for you. DO NOTgo if you want all night drinking and partying! The hotel is a short walk (or even shorter bus ride) to the town. This holiday was perfect for us.

great hotel

20 April 2008
Travelling with my Mum and my 6 month old daughter I was a bit nervous about what to expect. However the hotel was very clean, huge room, very friendly staff - who love children! We went off peak (in April) so missed the huge crowds around the island thankfully. Only (minor) downsides - the pool was too cold to swim in and the bars across the road are nosiy - but they never kept us up. Reception didn't read any of the requests we made at booking, eg cot, but arranged it as soon as we arrived.

clean and comfy

14 September 2007
Easy to get to after 45 minute transfer, and frinedly english speaking staff. Room very clean on top floor, facing road and local shops. Bars noisy until midnight but this is of little consequence, because the resort is so welcoming there is a very non-threatening atmosphere - great fun. Hotel brekfast good, dinner acceptable, but many local restaurants in the town are so good it is not worth missing them. Town is a 15-20min walk away, along the sea front which is delightful. The beach onlt 2 mins away and is excellent, clean, loungers and umbrellas to rent, and a good beach bar/restaurant. Overall a very pleasant stay in a good position

Pollensa Park Review

02 July 2007
First Visit to this lovely Hotel. We were very impressed with the Hotel and the Resort. Hotel is kept very clean. After reading some other reviews we did request a room overlooking the Pool. This was not granted. We were disappointed that our room was right opposite a very noisy English bar and shops, and quite a busy little road. We also had Music from another Hotel to the left. The 2 together not good for the ears. The music was turned off at Midnight so not too much of a problem. The entertainment was very good. A show every night at 10pm. Not your normal Reps putting on a show. The Kenya Boys (acrobats) were excellent. The food was OK and had a good selection. I'm a vegetarian and had no problem. Some nights thought you could tell it was frozen veg ! The pool area was lovely. Normal problem of people reserving the sun beds. By 10.30 they were all gone. Very friendly staff and I would recommend this Hotel.

Excellent

25 May 2007
First visit, but will definitely go again if we can get in. The hotel is spotless and our room was enormous. The staff were great and so friendly. They have the best managed restaurant we have ever been in - Martin and his team were great. The Mallorcan evening and cheese tasting were really enjoyable. Could not fault the holiday, just a pity the All Inclusive option was not available. It was like saying goodbye to the family.

13 May 2007
A must go to hotel although if i rave about it too much i wont get in, it will be fully booked. This year will be my 4th time and i have already booked for august 2008. couldnt believe that there were only 3 rooms left, thats how popular this hotel is.We know most of the staff very well now and you could not ask for better. The food is excellent 9 out of 10,lets face it you can never give 10.Entertainment during the day is always on the go french bowls, riffle shooting, pistol shooting, darts and many more.We have a daughter who is 15 and her first trip there was when she was 11, she says its her 2nd home. My 8yr old just loves it too.Its just a holiday packed with everything you could want, from relaxation if you prefere to the holiday of your dreams, well my families anyway.

Review of 'Pollensa Park'

22 October 2006
This was the 2nd time we have stayed at pollensa park and both times it has been excellent. The cleans of the hotels was really good and there is so much for people to do.
The entertainment was good. There was 2 swimming pools 1 for the adults and 1 for the little childern.
I would tell anyone to go to this hotel and it should be a 5star hotel.
There was a great choice of food on the morning for breakfast and on the night for your evening meal. The beach was only 5min walk down the road.

Beautiful Hotel

30 July 2006
Pollensa Park hotel, is set near a beautiful sandy beach, which is just a few minutes walk away.  The rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies, most set with gorgeos views of Majorca.
There are two pools, one for the older age group and one for toddlers, and a clean cafe  alongside.  Tennis courts are avaliable for rent, as well as the equipment needed.  There is night entertainment, and a small games room for the children and teenagers.  All of the staff are friendly and most speak excelent english, so are easy to comunicate with.  I could not fault this hotel in any way.  It was by far, the best holiday I have had in a long while!

This holiday was fantastic. We went for my birthday. Although the weather was not great, the hotel always put on fabulous activities indoors.
The food was lovely, we went down for breakfast every morning in the week that we was there. We found a buffet full of food, both english and foreign. Evening Meals were the same, The Pollensa Park Hotel offers a wide range of food and meals.

We would definately go again.

Fabulous.

The hotel offers excellent views of porta Pollensa sea front and the mountains. The staff are friendly and very helpfull.the food is of the buffet type ie serve it your self which is a good idea as long as you are able bodied to carry your plate yourself.
The choice is very good but is designed for English tastes, so if you want to try the local dishes forget it.
The hotel also organise trips out which are much cheaper than the trips organised by the travel companies there is also 3 internet computers to keep in touch with home
All in all a great hotel .

'We keep coming back'

13 May 2005
This will be our 4th stay at the Pollensa Park in 5 years.  The hotel is lovely and spacious with lovely clean rooms, we have found the rooms on the higher floors to be more modern and the rooms that face out over the sea have breath taking views.
The food is always fresh and with a wide and varied choice, gentlemen have to wear long trousers for their evening meal and everyone seems to take the trouble to dress up a little.
The pool is enormous and well maintained there are numerous sunbed and a lovely garden area were you can escape to if the sun becomes too much.  The beach is a short stroll and the town centre a pleasant walk away all on the flat.
The hotel changes money offers an excellant very cheap laundry service and all the staff are very friendly.
The entertainment on an evening is good, varied and not too loud.
The childrens club is hotel run as is the adult entertainment, the staff especially Cati and Tatiana are wicked, very child friendly and give you a warm welcome back every year, never forgetting your littles ones name and always delighted to see them.
The Pollensa Park has done us proud and we look forward to revisiting it this July - highly recommended

Review of 'POLLENSA PARK'

09 April 2005
Pollensa park hotel is not particularly attractive looking from the outside but its interior is spatious and well maintained.

The rooms are a good size and the balconies overlook the whole of the Pollensa bay. Fresh towels are provided daily and sheets are changed twice during a week.

The hotel staff are polite and very friendly and the bar is open in the evenings until about 2am. The bar area is huge and has plenty of comfortable seating that surrounds a dance floor on which entertainment is provided every evening. Food is served in a canteen style and is excellent though not particularly spanish. There is a huge choice of both main courses, salads and puddings. Waiters take drink orders and you pay at the table.

Though it was too cold in March to use the outdoor pool, the area was very well maintained and the pool was a good size. There were lots of sun lounges as well as undercover shaded seating.

The hotel is 2 minutes walk from a convenience store, 3 bars and the beach though it is a 25 minute walk into central puerta de pollensa where a great Irish bar or two can be found as well as cash machines, restaurants and shops.

The hotel hire out bikes for 7 Euros a day with a 1 euro deposit. These are great value for money and well worth using for a day to visit the picturesque old town of Alcudia or its  beach just a little way along the bay.

I had an excellent stay in this hotel and was highly impressed with every aspect of its functioning. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

Review of 'POLLENSA PARK'

02 April 2005
We stayed at the Pollensa Park 2 years ago and have booked again for this year. The Hotel is situated down a side street off the main Puerto Pollensa/Alcudia Road and is just a short trot to the beach (which is excellent and safe for children). The Hotel is clean and bright, the rooms are typical hotel rooms, not massive but not tiny and cramped. We took my mother and she obviously had a single room which again couldn't be faulted.
The gardens provide a super place to sunbathe with plenty of room in the shade if, like me, you're not an ardent sun-worshipper! There is additional sunbathing space by the pool and at no time did we feel that there were more people than sunbeds.
Food, both breakfast and dinner were the usual self-service buffet arrangement and (apart from the bacon which the Spanish NEVER excel at) quality was very good.
The staff were helpful and polite and the barman never forgot my daughters' 'special drink' of Vodka, Amaretto and Orange Juice!
Pollensa itself is a very pretty little town, completely different to Alcudia just up the coast and, although there are a couple of small bars very near to the Hotel, you must try Tolo's restaurant on the main road and also there are lots of fabulous bars and eating places just past the port along the Pine Walk - another 'must'.
Why didn't the Hotel get a '5' rating? Well, on one of the nights we had the pleasure in the bar of a small crowd of youths (English and Scots) who obviously had shared a San Miguel and one of them decided to present us with a 'technicolor yawn' - very pleasant! Of course, this wasn't any fault of the Hotel but I did feel their behaviour  prior to the incident would have prompted the staff to take action, which they didn't - at least until the offending 'puddle' had to be removed.
All in all, a very good Hotel in an amazing place.
