My wife & myself stayed at the Hotel Playazul first week June.
We found the hotel to be exellant value for money.
Around 250 metres from the beach but in a nice quite part of Roquetas (not sure what it would be like in peak season).
Friendly & helpful staff but not all able to speak English, we did not find this to be a problem.
The hotel guests were mainly Spanish with some Germans & a small number of Brits.
Good selection of food, mainly buffet but also a section where selected dishes were cooked to order.
Nice clean comfortable bedrooms with air con (nice & quiet sysyem). No sea views.
Nice pool area with lots of palm trees for shade if needed.
Pool towels available foc. Lots of sunbeds so no fighting for somewhere to sunbathe.
Comfortable bar area (happy hour 5pm-6pm, may be different in peak season).
Not sure what the entertainment was like, we went for a walk after dinner.
Would definitely recommend to others, suitable for couples or families.
I had read a few comments on the internet about flies in the resort, there were a few around but did not bother us unduly, but met a few couples who said they were a nuisance in the areas they stayed, this is a large area for fruit growing which apparently attracts the flies.
