Lovely clean and spacious apartments. Fantastic positon right on the beach front and near to many restaurants and bars. Didn't use the hotel restaurant (quite pricey) as there were so many others to choose from. Maid service was excellent, clean towels daily and two changes of linen within the week! I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone!

The Apartments Playaluna are lovely.  Very clean, with brilliant swimming pools.  The rooms are very clean & comfortable.  The staff are very helpful (even allowing us to keep our room until 4pm the day of departure instead of wandering the streets till our plane left ;o))& the reception staff were fluent in English. The beaches are immaculate & literally just a stone's throw from the hotel. There are plenty of excellent restuarants within walking distance of the hotel (handy as we'd taken the self serve option).  In all we had a wonderful holiday & will not hesitate to visit the hotel & area again .

Our break was primaraly based on businessmeetings as we are negotiating to purchase a property locally. We were pleasantly surprised , considering the time of year , at the high standard and efficiency of the staff who attended to our every need . There were more clients in the hotel than we expected , which in itself is a recommendation, and helped to create a good atmosphere. We even had a choir staying, and were treated to an impromtu rendition in the bar which was a real treat. Congratulations.

What a smashing hotel/aparthotel.
The Playa Luna is a new hotel, right on the beach.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I can't comment on food, since we didn't eat in the hotel.
We rented two apartments, both with one bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge.
One apartment was for my daughter and friend, the other for my mother , my wife and I on the sofa bed, which was very comfortable.
Our apartment cost slightly more, but the bathroom was larger than some people's home bedrooms. My wife and mother appreciated this since the more beautiful sex spends more time in that room.
The resort boasts some excellent places to eat of varying prices.
The resort is more up market than most(up market in cleanliness, not particularly in price). It has a beautiful promenade which stretches all the way to the next resort, Aguadulce.
We went in November, so the resort was fairly quiet, although there is still entertainment in the hotels and many bars.
The resort  has predominantly Spanish holiday makers, with reasonable numbers of Brits and Germans. It is not a British or German resort, and therefore there was a mixture of all nationalalities in most of the bars and restaurants.
Overall, the hotel is one of, if not, the best, I have stayed at.
The resort is head and shoulders above other Spanish resorts I have been to. These include:Torremolinos, Benalmedina, Benedorm and Lloret.

Review of 'APARTMENTS PLAYALUNA'

We stayed at the Playaluna at the end of April 2005. We booked at last minute cheap flight and were just looking to get away for a hot long weekend. When we arrived at the hotel we couldn't believe our luck as it had been so cheap to book from Aplha rooms as it was still off-peak season. The room was spotless and the facilities available were great. The pool was superb and would be great for kids.

As we went off-season, the whole resort and the hotel were extremely quiet and not a place we would pick for a lively holiday. However, we managed to find a lovely trendy Spanish bar and a Morrocan bar which suited us as we just wanted a relaxing break and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from.

We were lucky with the weather and had 3 glorious days of sunshine. The pool was absolutely freezing but the hotel is also right on the beach and it was just a short stroll across the (empty) beach to the sea.

Booking this hotel at the last minute, in high season, left us unsure what to expect and our expectations were not high. When we arrived we saw the hotel was four star as advertised and for a moment thought we had arrived at the wrong place. The room was spacious and spotless and the facilities were excellent. The pool area provided great entertainment for our children with the waterslides proving to be a big hit. Obtaining sufficient sunbeds was never a problem on hot days in august. The hotel is right next to the beach and there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. Overall the hotel turned out to be one of the best parts of the holiday and i would have no hesitation in recommending it based on our experience.

Review of 'APARTMENTS PLAYALUNA'

When we arrived in the apartment we were amazed at how lovely it was. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and there was even shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom even though we were self-catering. The shower was very good and hot water was abundant. The hotel staff were very efficient and polite and there was entertainment every evening (although it could have gone on a bit longer til say midnight). Unfortunately the weather was awful and very cold so the daily entertainment programme was cancelled but the indoor pool and jacuzzi certainly helped. Hotel is situated right on the beach but, as we went during the first week of March, we did not see the true place as everywhere was deserted. We will, however, definitely be returning to see what Roquetas De Mar is like in the sunshine and will definitely stay at the PlayaLuna.
