short break
26 July 2008
I took my 7 year old girl to the playa santa ponsa for a 3 day break. No complaints. Clean hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. The food was good although sometimes the bar service was a little slow. Will definitely return.

short break
27 June 2008
Pleasantly surprised to find a 2 star hotel as good as this, very clean, plenty of space in the bedrooms and bathroom, always spotlessly clean, even the communal toilets.I took my 82 year old mother for a short break, and its an ideal hotel for anyone with walking dificulties, bar, lounge and dining room all on the ground floor, lifts to all floors. outside the shops, bars, pine forrest with the parrots are just a couple of minutes walk on the flat away, if you wanted to vistit the Irish Quarter or the Square there are lots of taxi`s for a few Euros.I would certainly reccomend this hotel for all ages, as the children are well catered for with their own club, there is also archery and rifle shooting for the adults, well worth a visit and a gret resort as well.

We had a great time there. the staff were very helpful and polite. The variety and quality of the food was impressive and overall the cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to my friends. Overall great value for money.

A superb weekend
01 October 2007
We were upgraded to the sister Hotel Santa Ponsa Park across the road. Wow! What value for money. Food was top drawer; there was plenty of choice, no queuing and excellent service. The room had a sea view, was a good size and kept spotlessly clean by a great maid service.
Entertainment, when we stayed in, was from Kool and the gang who are much better live than on vynil.
One minute to the beach and even less to the shops.
We're going back soon. I suggest you try other hotels, we want this one for ourselves!

brilliant hotel
17 September 2007
Great hotel. Brilliant value for money. Was half board. Restaurant was superb. Quality and range of food as good as 4star. Excellent value for money. Only criticism was that room was small and had to have shower cubicle door open to soap myself.

Review of 'PLAYA SANTA PONSA'
28 September 2006
The hotel was listed as a two star, everybody in my party could not belive how well the hotel was run and the rooms and facilities were excellent.Whilst we were there we also noted that the hotel was also all inclusive, this is something that we are consdering for next visit to Playa Santa Ponsa. The childrens club was brilliant and my grand children enjoyed every minute, even being incorporated into the night entertainment. We all had agreat time and look forward to our next visit,

After reading some poor reveues(from a couple of years ago) we were delighted by this hotel. Food was good, varied and well presented. They have a childrens club with(Marcel) who was very good and did all sorts of things and really entertained them,(not many children staying so not over run like some can be) had a small mini disco every evening before the main entertainment. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of sun beds. Archery, target shooting, climbing wall, tennis and volley ball courts and more for adults. Downside! the bar closed not long after midnight (plenty outside though) and the showers are a bit small. Would we go there again YES.

The resort was excellent, probably the best we have been to. It was spotlessly clean with a lovely beach. The hotel offered good value for money. Although the food was not the best in the world it was OK with a good selection. Few people stayed in the hotel for drinks because they were so expensive but there was plenty of cheap bars in the area. I heard people complaining that they were all-inclusive but they found it very difficult to get served and often had to wait for no apparent reason. Be warned that the apartments next to the road can be very noisy, particularly about 6 O'clock every morning when the street sweepers goes past - there seems to be about three of them. Few of the staff in the hotel speak anything more that the barest English. The room cleaners are excellent and nothing is too much trouble, you can have the linen changed every day if you want. We worked it out that for half board it cost the three of us less than £15 per day each. I would recommend it to any families with a limited budget.

Review of 'PLAYA SANTA PONSA'

For the price this hotel was excellent. We were there to play golf so weren't in the hotel that much, but as we were all inclusive we made the best of it when we were there. The food was great, the bar was good even though it got busy at times. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms were cleaned every day. Only down sides was the bathroom was a bit small and there was no air con just a ceiling fan. There always seemed to be some kind of entertainment on for kids and adults. The reception staff were helpful, but the old guy in the restaurant at night was a bit of a grump. We will definately be going back again as I can't really fault it.

After reading reviews of truth uncovered I can’t believe how people have slammed it for the food - it was excellent, plenty of choice even for a fussy eater (me), maid service every day friendly staff, lifeguard on 10 till six every day, did not stop in hotel for entertainment as it was lovely walk to local pubs the square and irish centre.beach was 5 mins walk away overall would def go back and recommend to friends..For a 2 star it was in my eyes - should be upgraded.

This is a clean and well maintained Hotel. It is the budget hotel of the 3 in Santa Ponsa but still has high Acorn standards and good food. Good clean pools with lifegaurd supervision and a great location for the beach and evening walks along the beach. Family entertainment in the evening is average but you can choose between the other acorn hotels across the road for other entertainment. Good Value for Money.
