Summer holiday in October
31 October 2007
Great value for money, friendly staff.
A room facing the pool (not the busy street and construction across the street of the main entrance) is a must and staff might be fussy changing the room - and you won't get away without paying a bit extra, even if changing a studio for a studio.
Breakfasts are filling and have a good choice of fries, eggs etc., the choice of cereal is not great, but fresh fruit is available as the healthier option. Pastries are really not worth the calories.
Overall though, very happy with the choice, and would recommend to friends or family.
What you might consider is getting a car straight away at the airport, we only paid about 120E for the week, which is close to what you pay for the transfers to and from the hotel anyway, plus you have the option to drive around on a cloudy day. Even the beach is good 30 minutes to walk, so driving is easier and you can go further to a nicer and less crowded beach in the dunes... Enjoy.

Great hotel, Great Pool, Friendly staff - only reason this hotel did not get a 5 is because the room did not have a balcony - but the price you pay for the facilities you get are second to none!

Review of 'PLAYA PARK CLUB'
13 April 2007
I have been to the Playa Park for the last 6 or 7 years - it's that good. I've been with family and with my partner and on all occasions loved the place. The staff are warm and friendly and make you feel very welcome especially after seeing you each year. The facilities are very good. The rooms are clean and the pool and pool bar also excellent. The restaurant isn't exactly to my taste but there are many good bars in the town including the Rock Cafe - excellent music, we were there during a huge firework display breath taking. All in all the island is fantastic and the hotel can't be beat. Strongly recommended!!!!

Review of 'PLAYA PARK CLUB'
14 December 2006
Playa Park Club is located just outside of the main town and it is within walking distance. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very efficient young lady, she was very helpful and gave us a very nice room. included were three balconies, one in the front of the entance hall and one overlooking the pool areas. The other balcony was used for washing line, and we found that this was most efficient.
The hotel is absolutely spotless and hygenic friendly, we had a change of bedding 2 times a week and change of towels it seemed every day. The chamber maid service was very efficient.
The one complaint that we had was that the kitchen was poorly equipped, there was no kettle and no toaster, on enquiring if there were any we were told that if you wanted one then you were expected to hire them. This we declined as we thought that this should have been included in the price of the appartment, and is something that should be looked into for future guests.
We went to the Playa Park Club late November early December time and there were not alot of guests, the restaurant was good and the food was plentiful, having chosen the buffet style meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Playa Park and would recommend it to anybody.

Review of 'PLAYA PARK CLUB'
12 October 2006
We stayed at these apartments in September, 2006, and were happy with our stay. We booked the cheapest category studio, which did not say if we had a balcony or not. On arrival our room faced the road and did not have a terrace or balcony. This was soon rectified by the helpful staff who, for 28 euros (4 euros per night)changed the room no bother. We were given a room with balcony overlooking the lovely pool area. The room was of a 2 star standard, however, was initially very clean and comfortable enough. The fridge and kitchen area were clean and there was plenty storage space. The bathroom was getting old, but spacious and the shower was excellent. The TV was free and the room had a dining table as well as patio furniture. The towels were changed everyday, only exception was the maids day off. We only had our sheets changed once in the week, on our 5th day! The cleaning I have to say let the place down. I had swept the floor of sand and it was 3 days later before it was lifted. It certainly didn't look like the bathroom had been cleaned in the week. This didn't bother us too much, since the room had been spotless when we arrived, coupled with the fact we were only there for 1 week. The beds were made nearly every day and bins also emptied. The pool area was well kept as were all the public areas. The bar staff were friendly, especially if you tried to speak Spanish. Drinks were cheap and it was pleasant surroundings. We never saw entertainment of any sort, which made for a relaxing time. There's an on site gym and laundry which was useful for washing the beach towels. We only had the buffet breakfast once and wouldn't recommend it if you like your british breakfast (plenty of choice in Corralejo) Playa Park is not closely located to the town, however, taxis are around 3 euros and very efficient. It would only take about 20 minutes to walk into the centre. We enjoyed being a bit further out however, parking can be difficult if you arrive after 4 o'clock. All in all I would return to these apartments without hesitation, ensuring a room overlooking the pool with balcony.

Second time we have stayed here- stayed in October 05 and Feb 06. Rooms immaculate and spacious (and this was just a studio). Kitchen facilities basic but more than adequate. Staff really friendly and helpful. Maid Service six days out of seven, with clean towels every other day. Approximately 20 minute walk from here to town centre, with about a 5/10 minute walk to the nearest beach. Pool area is great; clean and tidy with plenty of sunbeds.
Out of all the apartments we have stayed at in the past 11 years of visiting Fuerteventura/Corralejo, I would rate this hotel as one of the best, for standards and for value for money.

The accomodation is fine. Towels, sheets changed regually. Rooms cleaned everyday. Public rooms-spotless. Buffet meals-so ok.
BUT: I travelled on my own and I found the supply of hot water a bit alarming !! I asked at reception, and was told that each room only has a 15 litre boiler, which, believe me, is hardly enough for one person to have a shower, let alone a couple or a family.
After all of that, the Playa Park is good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone; although the main town is a good 20 minute walk away.

stayed at Playa Park November 2005, second time stayed at these well run , spotless apartments, ok, no organised entertainment, but if you just want a handy clean comfortable base, with 2 pools, plenty of sunbeds, bar, and pool bar these cannot be faulted. ps building work well away from apts and no affect on guests staying there.we travelled independently and paid much less than brochure price.

Having been to Corralejo a number of times, this was the first time we had stayed at Playa Park Club. On arrival, the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a studio, of which there only appeared to have been 3 in the whole complex. The room was strictly for 2 people only and the kitchen facilities were very compact - hidden in a wardrobe! There was not kettle or toaster, but there was a TV and microwave! Apart from this, the rest of the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also spotless. The facilities at the complex were good- 3 pools, table tennis, sauna etc., and all very well kept. It is a good 20 minute walk into town so you will need to bear this in mind if you don't have a car. We were also able to keep our room past the normal checking out time on the last day, for a small charge, which was good as our flight was quite late that night. Overall I would recommend this complex and would definitely consider staying there again.

Review of 'PLAYA PARK CLUB'
30 September 2005
I had read several reviews before travelling and had been warned to avoid studios at the front of the building as these were noisy. When we(hubby, myself, daughter and friend)arrived we were allocated 2 studios at the front. I asked about the noise and he said there was no noise! Fibber! At 5 o'clock the next morning all hell let loose on the building site across the land in front of the Complex. If you are a light sleeper, forget it. My hubby slept through it but my daughter and myself were awake. Heather and her friend asked to be moved and were given a lovely apartment well away from the noise, three balconies, a hairdryer etc and although were told there would be an additional charge of 9euro per night, they were in fact never given a bill. Lucky girls. Hubby refused to move and I got used to the noise. However, our room, although spotless and cleaned 5 times during the week, had a few flaws. There was no balcony so meals were eaten at a very public window and I had to keep the curtains closed because we were overlooked by the balcony next door. The kitchen tap was loose and fell off twice, drowning me!! The microwave was above the sink and very high up. If you are short, take a stepladder. Also the crockery was stored too high for me to reach (I am 5'5") and there was loads of cutlery missing. Reception staff did take note of my complaints and by the end of the same day I had everything I requested, including 4 extra pillows. On the positive side, the place was spotlessly clean and the pool area was lovely. The pools were salt water and always very clean. The evening meals were varied and although we were self catering we ate at least four times because the food was great. The staff were friendly and spoke English very well. Our taxi was booked well in advance and arrived on time. I would certainly recommend the Playa Park Club as long as the room allocated is at the rear of the building and away from the construction noise. There is loads of building work on the Island at the moment so make sure you know where your room is!

Apartments were clean and tidy upon our arrival, plenty of bedding provided, not that you need it in the heat. There were 3 swimming pools, all of which were unheated but once you got used to the water, you were fine. Two of these were rather shallow, but they were not just for the children. The facilites were overall very good, with plenty to keep you occupied, for example table tennis, tennis, pool etc. The Playa park is situated just outside of town, but you can reach the centre of town in around 25-30mins, of slow walking pace. The best beach near the playa park is about 30 mins away at a slow pace, but is well worth the walk. Overall i would say a very good stay indeed! Would highly reccommend.

having stayed in no less than 6 similar priced accomadations in corralejo, playa park club we both agree has definately been the best.we stayed in a studio apartment which was spotlessly clean.a microwave and free sattelite tv were also included.also you could have a shower without the sprayhead falling off the wall! a first for corralejo !! The pool area was lovely and you also had free usage of the gym, squash court and sauna suite. The resturant was excellent with prices slightly cheaper than downtown corralejo.towels and bed linen were changed 3 times weekly.Internet access was also available for a modest charge.all in all a very well run apartment complex, big enough to cope, small enough to care.ENJOY.

Review of 'PLAYA PARK CLUB'
12 April 2005
My Partner and I stayed at the Playa Park Club in Spetember last year. We have stayed in Corralejo before, so it was easy enough to find. (There is plenty of parking outside the appartments). Playa Park offers a goof location, it is about halfway between the town centre and the sand dunes.
When we arrived we were upgraded for free, which was a lovely surprise. We had booked a studio appartment for 2 but were informed that these were above the reception and were given a poolside appartment for 4 instead. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were well equipped and and comfortable, although the bedrooms were at the back of the apartment where the pathways were, so it could get a bit noisey at night with people walking past the rooms. However it was quite quiet when we stayed, so this wasn't a problem. They look to have been recently refurbished.
There is a supermarket on site which is well stocked and not badly priced, they had fresh croissants every day (almost - shop not open on Sunday) if you haven't paid for food (which you can do on a daily basis if you fancy it if you are only self catering).
One night we tried the restuarant - It was Canarian night, all you can eat bufet of localy produced foods. It was well worth the money.
All in all this is great value for money if you are on a budget we would definitely stay here again.
