The Ahotels Piolets Park and Spa is a splendid complex, recently opened in December 2003 and situated in Soldeu, close to Grandvalira ski area. The hotel offers its visitors the enjoyment of a relaxed, quiet holiday in the middle of a natural setting, although numerous shopping venues, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs are to be found in the vicinity, as are links to the public transport network. There is also a bicycle hire service. The hotel itself has 120 bedrooms, 30 of which are suites, which offer roomy and comfortable accommodation, adequate for 4 people, with the luxury of a panoramic balcony looking out over the ski slopes. All other comfortable rooms include an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, satellite/ cable TV, Internet connection, a combined living room/bedroom, a hire safe and central heating. Various leisure options are on offer at the Piolets Park and Spa, including an indoor swimming pool, as well as an outside pool with sun loungers and parasols. Guests may also take advantage of the luxury of the Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and solarium and there is a massage service, although additional charges apply. Guests can get active in the hotel gym, which offers aerobic sessions, while younger guests can visit the children's club and garden area with a playground. There is also a games room and TV room. Evenings at the hotel can be spent at the bar or nightclub, and enjoy a meal at the à la carte restaurant, buffet restaurant or steak house. In addition to the many facilities on offer, a seasonal entertainment programme is provided for some variation for guests. All of this combined will ensure that you have a pleasurable stay at the Piolets Park and Spa.

stayed @ the piolets in feb 08, good hotel nice facilities for kids but daily charges to use the pool. Hotel in good location with 10 mins walk to lifts,its a good idear to leave your ski's at the lift station to save the uphill walk with them every morning.Food was ok but not outstanding, overall we had a good stay and the kids loved it.
