stayed @ the piolets in feb 08, good hotel nice facilities for kids but daily charges to use the pool. Hotel in good location with 10 mins walk to lifts, its a good idear to leave your ski's at the lift station to save the uphill walk with them every morning.Food was ok but not outstanding, overall we had a good stay and the kids loved it.

Review of 'Piolets Park' - Solo Female Traveller
29 March 2007
The Piolets Park was perfectly situated for my stay with only a 5 - 10 minute walk each morning to the gondola which is an excellent way to warm up. I was a solo female traveller and the staff at the hotel were both warm, friendly and very helpful. In the dining room I was not made to feel uncomfortable in any way.
The food was excellent with an excellent variety of continental and english food.
The only negative point I would make is that the rooms could be noisy due to there not being a door between the corridor and bedroom which enabled you to hear everyone walking passed and doors shutting/slamming.
I would recommend the Piolets Park to everyone.

Review of 'Piolets Park'

Have just come back from staying in the Piolets Park and Spar, the Hotel was fantastic, food fantastic, Room spacious, very clean, the only down side which I thought was a big down side was the pool facilities, the charge was 12 euros per person which we did not mind as we were told about this before we booked but the pool was that cold it was unbearable to swim in, also the Jaccuzi's were all cold, the only facility that worked was the steam room. I think that this is unaceptable in a 4* Hotel, when we complained we were told to try the Andorra Pool and spa which would of cost us 30 euros each, I dont think this was acceptable, we then tried there sister Hotel over the road but surprise surprise this was not working either. The only reason we booked this hotel was because of the pool, and I was really dissapointed I could not use it after skiing all day, I like to relax in the pool. I also know that if a Jaccuzzi is not at the right temperature and is luke warm it can be a breeding ground for bacteria.

Review of 'Piolets Park'
20 January 2007
From previous reviews for this hotel we were expecting good service and we were not disappointed. Built in 2003 the hotel is ideally situated about 200m from the main skilift station away from the main road. The entire staff were fiendly, informative with nothing too much trouble. The standard twin room we had was well appointed and maintained in spotless condition. At mealtimes we were spoilt for choce with a huge selection from both the hot and cold buffet. Sauna, Steamroom, Spa and swimming facilities were excellent. The bar area is perhaps a little reserved, which suited us. Should you prefer a more lively atmosphere its a 3 minute walk. - See you next year.

Review of 'Piolets Park'

Excellent hotel with good facilities. Like all of the hotels in Soldeu, the food is local cuisine and cooked to perfection with a good choice of local delicacies and dishes from the buffet. Immaculate and clean with friendly staff, this is a fine hotel but it is a bit disappointing to have to pay to use the swimming pool which is part of the spa facilities. On an economic front however, the twin hotel (Piolets) is as good and the swimming pool is free. It is also nearer the ski centre and also cheaper!

Review of 'Piolets Park & Spa'
02 September 2006
We stayed in the Piolets Park and Spa, down the road from and not to be confused with Piolets Hotel ! We have just returned from a summer visit to Soldeu ( last week in August )and found the Hotel very friendly and comfortable. Rooms are very spacious with good views from the balcony, only one english TV channel ( Sky News! ), quiet and well appointed. The food is buffet style with a large variety to suit everybody, enjoyed the chefs freshly made omlettes for breakfast, two microwaves available to reheat any food and lots of lovely fresh bread ! In reception every afternoon there were fresh juice, champagne and water all on ice with pastries and biscuits, most enjoyable after a long day walking in the mountains. Pool and Spa facilities were at an extra cost of 7 Euros each per day, this included the use of towell and swimming hat ! Bar area was very spanish and loud with noisy spanish kids club running around ( disco ! ? ) All the English spent the evenings in the local ' Pussycat 'Bar, very friendly with Sky Sports on large screen ! We hired a car and there is free parking at the rear or underground at a cost. There is one table tennis table with bats and ball available with a returnable deposit, however this can be busy in the evening ! Two internet computers in the lobby at a cost of 1 Euro for ten minutes. Cheaper in town if you are a heavy user ! Overall I would recommend this hotel for a summer holiday

Review of 'PIOLETS PARK'
24 January 2006
Have just returned from Soldeu in Andorra on yet another skiing holiday. For the past 2 years we stayed at a 4* hotel nearer the telecabine. Although very pleasant the food let it down. This year we booked the Piolets Park and spa,it was further down the road a massive 4 minute walk to the ski lifts. The hotel itself is built to a modern theme, leather seating and tiled floors in the reception and bar area. We found this to be a less informal and cold atmosphere compared to other hotels which had 'cosy' seating, and a mixture of wooden and carpeted seating areas. As you entered the reception area you are also greeted with the smell from the pool. Having said that the rooms are very comfortable and reasonable spacious, all with balconies with views towards the mountains. The beds and pull out sofabeds are of a good quality and firm matresses (can't feel the springs)!! The highlight of any stay in a hotel is the food, we all thought it was very well presented especially the salad and cold meat selection. The hot food was plentiful and well cooked with lots of choice. Vegitarians are also very well catered for. Most staff speak good english and are very helpful. Would recommend this hotel
