Good clean hotel, small but comfortable rooms with very good adjustable heating - ask for slopeside view as streetside are noisy especially with bars below. Hotel is popular with families and a lot of noise in the corridors outside rooms from early on. Food average as expected from buffet style, but with good choice, cold and hot breakfasts. Small pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi (popular with kids even though supposedly only open to over 14s) and steam room. Best feature is location to gondola and chair lift - not quite ski-in/out but close enough. Not quite the calm and chic of the Himalaiya hotel across the road where have stayed twice before, but adequate nevertheless.

Location of Piolets hotel is excellent, next to ski lifts &
centre of Soldeu
Rooms good size & very clean, staff very friendly & helpful.
As we arrived by car there was plenty of outside free car parking at the rear of hotel.
We would recommend the Piolets hotel & will be returning.

We booked the Poilets Hotel in Soldeu, Andorra. On arrival we were met and booked in by a very friendly and helpful member of the reception team. He explained all the facilities, the meal times, etc. Our room was located on the second floor and as I had travelled with my 7 and 10 year old daughters, we had three bed within a double room. However there was still lots of room in the accomodation. We had a room to the rear of the hotel which had a bathroom complete with bath, shower over bath, basin and WC. Again this was nice and roomy. Within the wardrobes was a free room safe. The room also had a mini bar, TV, coffee table and armchair. The view from our balcony was on to the bottom ski slopes and gondela, and was most impressive.
Our accomodation included half board. The breakfast choice was excellent, with cereal, fruit, juices, yoghurts, various breads, preservatives, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and various hot foods. The evening meal was equally as good with a great selection of starters, soup, fish, meat, pealla, vegetables etc. The restuarant staff were very welcoming, helpful and efficient.
The bar and lounge area were very relaxing and the staff very friendly and efficient. The entertainments team were very good but maybe due to it being a sking holiday it could have started slightly earlier in the evening.
The leisure facilities (indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna, steam room etc were most impressive and as usual the staff were very helpful and efficient.
Overall the hotel was very good, located in a perfect position for the skiing and in a very pleasant village. We have already decided to visit Poilets again next year.

Excellent hotel, rooms very spacious, food outstanding, friendly staff. Only 2 minutes (yes I mean only 2 minutes ) from Gondola. Would strongly recommend hotel.

One slight gripe would be Bar closes at 12 pm. Although there are plenty of bars open late nearby

We've just come back from a four day break in Soldeu, Andorra. We stayed in the Piolets Hotel. The hotel is ideally situated at the bottom of the slopes. The main lift is a 3 to 5 minute walk away. There are also numerous bars and restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed in rooms overlooking the slopes, which have a lovely views and also a balcony. (A supplement was charged for a mountain view) The rooms are spacious and include, safety deposit boxes, mini bar, TV and hairdryer. There is also underground parking (at an extra cost). The hotel also has a small pool and jacuzzi.

The hotel is run on a full board basis, meals are buffet style for breakfast and dinner. The food was quite nice, with a varid choice.
