Review of 'PIOLETS'
26 February 2006
We booked the Poilets Hotel in Soldeu, Andorra. On arrival we were met and booked in by a very friendly and helpful member of the reception team. He explained all the facilities, the meal times, etc. Our room was located on the second floor and as I had travelled with my 7 and 10 year old daughters, we had three bed within a double room. However there was still lots of room in the accomodation. We had a room to the rear of the hotel which had a bathroom complete with bath, shower over bath, basin and WC. Again this was nice and roomy. Within the wardrobes was a free room safe. The room also had a mini bar, TV, coffee table and armchair. The view from our balcony was on to the bottom ski slopes and gondela, and was most impressive.
Our accomodation included half board. The breakfast choice was excellent, with cereal, fruit, juices, yoghurts, various breads, preservatives, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and various hot foods. The evening meal was equally as good with a great selection of starters, soup, fish, meat, pealla, vegetables etc. The restuarant staff were very welcoming, helpful and efficient.
The bar and lounge area were very relaxing and the staff very friendly and efficient. The entertainments team were very good but maybe due to it being a sking holiday it could have started slightly earlier in the evening.
The leisure facilities (indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna, steam room etc were most impressive and as usual the staff were very helpful and efficient.
Overall the hotel was very good, located in a perfect position for the skiing and in a very pleasant village. We have already decided to visit Poilets again next year.
