Review of Petra Hote

06 November 2007
Was very near to the airport. Buses 2 stops away from metro station, then 20 mins to city centre. Metro finished at 9pm but did put a bus on to Anagnina where you could geta taxi back to the hotel for 10 euro. Bit far out but had a great time and value for money, would return again. Bar not very good and swimming pool out of use, but we did go end of season in November, will be returning again in Aug 08.

Review of Petra Hotel

We stayed at the Petra Hotel in August for 3 nights. The hotel was fairly good, nice room, comfortable beds, reasonably good breakfast. There was also a swimming pool with sunbeds which was very nice with the temperature in August. Free parking in own parking garage. It is a bit difficult to find the hotel without a gps system. We were travelling through Italy so we had a car. Location of the hotel is about 30 minutes driving from Rome. In August it is possible to park a car in Rome because all the Italians are away on holidays. Public transportation in August was not easy. There is no timetable for the bus and the underground stops at 9.15 p.m. in August.

Review of 'PETRA HOTEL and RESIDENCE'

04 April 2007
We stayed at this hotel to use it as a base for a rugby international weekend. It is a substantial distance from the Stadio Fluminio but we booked it more with its location to Ciampino Airport in mind. Its about a five minute drive to the Metro line, we used the courtesy car provided by the hotel, and from there about forty minutes to the city centre. The hotel is fairly basic as you would expect from the rates but its functional. The negatives are 1. The location is a little remote from the city (just outside the ring moterway G.R.A.) also the area is a little run down. 2.It was hard to find, we were lucky because a motor mechanic had us follow him to the gate. 3.The carpets were dirty however there were some renovations going on at the time so maybe that has been addressed. The positives were 1.The staff were helpful and nice 2.The rates were cheap as well as the bar and restaurant. 3. The breakfast was good with plenty of food but no hot food. 4. Convenient location to airport.
