This is our second time to the hotel and this year we stayed in one of the hotels villas that are located in the gardens. It was a fabulous spot - woth our own big sun terrace that caught the sun all day! I think the villas are in need of a little updating - although it suited our needs fine. We had a sneak peek at one of the hotel rooms and they looked very modern. The dom joao village has a great setting - just a short wander down to the beach which was superb - plenty of huge crashing waves to keep my teenage son occupied! The food was great - plenty of choice - drinks in the restaurant not too bad - a half bottle of house white and a pepsi was 10.80 euros - so not extortionate. A great place to stay - i'm sure we will be back next year.
