The Pere IV is situated in the 22 district near the Auditorium concert hall and the National Theatre of Catalonia. The contemporary property offers views out over the city and countless cafes and bars can be found within the vicinity. Tasteful guestrooms are appointed with modern comforts to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. Guests may make use of the hotels indoor swimming pool, sauna and gymnasium and relax in the hotels generous lobby. The Pere IV has a spacious dining room offers a delicious menu based on seasonal produce and conferencing facilities are available for business guests.

The area was being built up, but perfectly safe. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very good. The room was spacious, and the drinks in the minibar are free. The pool was very comfortable and the gym is an added bonus. The hotel is very close to the metro and so one can reach the city centre very quickly (about 20 minutes walk). There are some very good paella places in the port, about 10 minutes walk away, just ask the front desk. However, the rooms facing the swimming pool can get a bit too warm, especially when there is a spell of freak warm weather, like the one, when we were there. I recommend the rooms facing the city or the beach (what my friends had). The walls were a bit thin too. On the whole, I really enjoyed my stay there, and if I go back to Barcelona, will definitely stay in the Pere IV.
