Inexpensive and poor quality
22 April 2008
Sheets clean but can't say much else. Rooms need refurbished and bathroom could have been cleaner & showed quite a bit of mildew. No hairdryer and window broken. Quite a lot of noise. Staff lacking interest.

Room Price Could be less
10 April 2008
Good Points
Friendly and helpful Staff
Secure Parking
Clean Bed sheet and Bathroom (room we got was en-suite) and room.
Working TV and heating
Good room service
Bad Points
Pricy, could be less compared with a similar hotel surrounding that area.
Breakfast on offer was decent but would prefer a bit more items (based on the price paid).
Could do more with a secure room door. Felt the door lock a bit fragile.
No hairdryer as listed.
Uncontrollable water system, you can only get very hot or cold water during shower (unable to obtain warm water even you try to adjust the tap turns).

Very depressimg
02 October 2007
Not as advertised, television barely worked,no internet,no hairdryer,no trouser press.broken window, shower room smelt,no heating.Had to go to another hotel for breakfast, which was awful and walk through a carpark where people were sat on old sofas and about 10 bikes and a scooter were all over the floor in the foyer. There were 4 rusty old barbaque oil drums in the outside area with litter and a few old plastic chairs. If not for late arrival would never have stayed.I have camped most of my life, but this was unacceptable.Staff friendly but we were very glad to leave!

Review of the hotel
07 August 2007
Although I booked this hotel for the first days of August in the last decade of May, I was pretty surprised by very friendly accomodation prices. The connection with the Heathrow airport is more than excellent - you can get there directly by underground (Piccadilly line) within approx. 1 hour. Getting to city centre by underground takes about 15 - 20 minutes. The rooms´ interior is not brand new but clean and it offers enough convenience to relax after all-day trips. Thanks to electric pot fitted you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with milk at any time, all these items are regularly filled in. The rooms are serviced very well.
Breakfast is continental (not my favourite kind of the first meal of the day) but thanks to sliced cheese I could eat myself fill.
I would recommend this hotel to all who want to visit London sparing as much money as possible and who want to be accomodated in other than central parts of the city - it is a very interesting experience. When I visit London again I think I´ll book this hotel again.

Review of 'PEMBURY'
21 August 2006
The hotel is in Finsbury Park only five minutes from the rail/metro station. The area is very multi-cultural with perhaps 100 take-aways and restaurants, and a few friendly but boisterous pubs.
The hotel room was small but clean bedding, towels etc. A small courtyard and carpark in the hotel "grounds" was pleasant to sit in on a a hot day. It tickled me that some cheeky and untimid squirrels were playing in the courtyard.....perhaps they were from the large park over the main road.
Breakfast was continental but quite adequate.
All in all, quite ok for very cheap lodging in London with ease of transport links, but not suitable for a special holiday.
