Excellent location: easy to get to from the airport, cafes/bars/restaurants in the areas of Nikolaikirche, Hackescher Markt and Oranieburger Strasse within easy walking distance. Great shopping on the doorstep with the new Alexa shopping centre, Although the hotel was built in GDR times, our room was modern, clean and with a great view out over the East. Although a big hotel, we had no bother getting a table at breakfast and it is a good buffet. Definitely stay here again.
