Great Hotel

23 July 2008
This is the second time I have stayed here. Staff are very welcoming and freinly. Great breakfast, no excuse to go hungry. Nice room with lovely view. Carpet could have done with a good shampoo though, as it was stained.

Amazing!

05 May 2008
This was our first trip to Belfast and we will certainly be back! We caught the bus to the Park Avenue hotel (which drops you right outside the door) at about 10am. We were just looking to drop our bags off, but the reception staff upgraded our room so we could check in straight away! This exceptional service continued throughout our stay. All of the staff are friendly and very helpful! When we visit Belfast again we will be staying at the Park Avenue Hotel again, I'm missing the massive bed already!

Park Avenue Hotel

01 April 2008
A really nice hotel to stay in. Nicely located. the staff are friendly and the service is good. One bit of advice though. Do not leave any valuable items in your room. When I returned after a day out in the town I discovered the cleaning staff had accidently left my door unlocked and slightly ajar enabaling access for any person into my room.

Excellent second time

24 July 2007
This was our second stay at this hotel and we can only confirm our earlier review, hotel and staff were first class and like other reviewers staff went out of their way to supply an early room. Will definitely be back.

Excellent Hotel

11 July 2007
Arrived on early flight, hoping to leave bags, but was told it would only take 15mins for the 3 maids to get room ready so that we could check in! Service throughout stay could not have been better, everyone very friendly and hotel spotless. Food, both in bar and restaurant first class, definitely be back!

Review of 'Park Avenue' November 2006

11 November 2006
The hotel was clean, rooms were to a good standard. staff were friendly and helpful. location makes it easy to find and parking was ample.  distance to city centre means you will require a taxi in and out, this costs between 2.60 and 5.00 depending on time and whether you book it or hail one in the street.
Breakfast was excellent, with a very good selection of cooked foods as well as plenty of juices, fruit and muffins.

Good value at under 50 euro P.P. per night (midweek)

Review of 'Park Avenue'

We chose the Park Avenue hotel for an overnight stay when attending a concert at the Odyssey Arena. We were only a 5 minute taxi ride away, and the hotel has a service arrangement with one of the local firms.
The hotel itself has very helpful and cheerful staff, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable, albeit a bit too warm during the night.
We arrived late afternoon, and decided to dine in. There was a choice of restaraunt or bar meals, and we chose the latter. Quick service and reasonably priced at £5.95 for a main course.
Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning, set us up for the day ahead.
The only minor down side to staying at the Park Avenue is you need a bus or taxi to and from the City Centre, which can take 10 -15 minutes dependant on traffic.
Still gets a thumbs up overall.

Big, clean rooms with excellent facilities. Breakfast was excellent too. Great value for money. A little hard to find but the staff were happy to talk us in from the main road. Beautiful little restaurant called Bennets around the corner.

Curteous staff.  Clean.  Instant coffee.  No lotion or conditioner for hair.  Grateful for accomodation when we needed it and at the part of Belfast we needed to be in.  Rooms were quiet.  TV small, no air cond.  Room hot and humid.  Would stay again in a heartbeat.  Wonderful people, good location.  Hopefully they can add to their amenities slightly.

The exterior and position of the hotel were excellent. The staff were lovely and efficent.
The meals were fabulous.
The bar was nice.
The rooms were a tad shabby, but good value.
The only real complaint i have is that when i went to run an evening bath the water was tepid and i had a bath at 6am to ensure i got some hot water as i assumed that the hot water simply ran out.
The two pillows were also like sheets of A4 paper but when i asked for more pillows they were provided.
All in all not  a bad stay and i would use this hotel again.

1 night stop in Park Avenue

International standards, which I wasn't expecting from a small Belfast Hotel, but the friendliness and warmth normally found in Bed and Breakfasts. Excellent attention and service at a good price. Good central location.

The hotel was at the bottom end of our range.  The room was spacious with plenty of natural light.  Whilst hanging items in the wardrobe I found a watch which must have been left by a previous guest.  It was not found by the cleaners!!
The double bed was adequate in size but the mattress was worn and uncomfortable.
We dined in the bistro and the food was delicious even though the selection was a little plain

I HAVE TO SAY THAT FOR THE PRICE PAID I WAS PLEASENTLY SURPRISED BY THE PARK AVENUE. IT WAS SPACIOUS, CLEAN AND WELCOMING. THE NIGHT PORTER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND WAS ABLE TO SEE TO OUR NEEDS AS WE ARRIVED AFTER 1:00 AM.

THE ROOM WAS EXCELLENT, ALTHOUGH THE VIEW WASN'T THE BEST I'VE EVER COME ACROSS (A LOVELY VIEW OF THE HOTEL ROOF!!)

THE BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS. IT WAS HOT, WELL COOKED AND PRESENTED BY A FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING STAFF.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR A LOVELY STAY AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.

Park Avenue certainly provides a warm welcome to weary travellers. We arrived bleary eyed from an early flight to be met with warm smiles and the welcome news that our room was ready and waiting.
Reception staff were always cheery and helpful with advice as varied as where to eat on a sunday evening, good venues for a night out and where to attend a church service.
Our room was bright and clean.
The only reason it didn't rate 5 out of five was due to the lack of a vegetarian fried breakfast and the excessive heat in the room at night
Definitely worth a return visit! As welcoming and friendly as the city of Belfast

It was my first visit to Ireland (originaly from South Africa but now living on the Isle of Man) and therefore cannot compare the hotel to others in Ireland, but the Staff were friendly, it is a lovely hotel and the service overall was very good. Quite surprised to find a jaccuzi style bath! That is a bonus. Will definitely take my family to Ireland - beautiful country and very clean in the countryside. You know where i'll be staying! No need to look for somewhere else to stay when you're satisfied with what you've had previously.O yes, it is only a 5 minute drive from Belfast City Airport as well!

Review of 'PARK AVENUE'

Arrived at Park Avenue early but staff at reception were courteous and arranged to have our room made available within 40 minutes (free coffee was provided while we waited). The room and en-suite toilet were much larger than you would normally expect and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean.
The location of the hotel is near to the City airport and just outside Belfast city centre. It is only a short bus ride (bus stop at door), or taxi journey, away from the centre.
The food is exceptional -  you won't go hungry in this hotel and the staff are very friendly.
Definitely "One to remember" for a return visit.

Tired, dated and past its best.  The room was dusty and dirty, phone socket was hanging of the wall.  The food went some way to compensate but all in all very poor.  Will not be returning.
