The Paramount looks so fantastic upon entering with its chic contemporary style in the foyer. Then you get to your room its done out like Ikea and is masquading as a bedroom buts its really a closet with a decent bathroom thrown in for good measure. The beds are all on the floor like the 60's and there is a tv a small one thats portable. The location is great for theatre though and near the cheap tickets across the street at the Marriot which incidentally means taxi drivers will tell you they are not working due to parking for customers with anticipated more money than you from the Marriott. The rest is expensive as is the room service and its only recently changed hands a month ago and is now owned by someone apparently really cheaping things up a lot. I found the place fantastic for location for me but the rooms are 2 star not any more at all. This is overrated as soon as you open your door. But to impress your mates just keep them in the lobby and they will be completely deluded that you are wealthy and having a live it up holliday!!

Review of 'PARAMOUNT'

Mixed feelings about this hotel. Froma location, cleanliness and service point of view this hotel has it all. The staff were very friendly and helpfull from the chambermaids down to the doormen they were great. Any reservations that I have regarding this hotel are based soley on the room size which I found claustraphobic. The room was a double but was too small to be used as one in that each person could not be standing at the same time. The bathroom was great and out of proportion with the room given its generous size. Ideal place for a weekend break but do not take too many clothes there is nowhere to hang them. Would I go back there? yes its drawbacks are outweighed by its style and ambiance
