This city hotel was built on the site of an ancient monastery and centers around the spectacular Renaissance cloister and ruins of the old Dominican convent. It was renovated in 2004 and comprises a total of 79 rooms spread over 4 floors. We are just back from Paradore De La Seu Urgell, very relaxing. Excellent foyer with great historical and architectural sensitivity. Staff superb and friendly and dealt with all queries in a very positive constructive manner. Car parking epensive but worth it. The town itself was quiet and could sell itself inn a very authoritative way. More information on nearby excellent hill walks should be made available. Scenery up the mountains stunning, perhaps an opportunity for Summer Walking Festival. Certainly French and Austrian regions have promoted more activities with less available natural beauty. Hotel excellent base.
