Excellent choice

Right next to the cathedral within the old city walls. Perfect for history buffs. Free (yes, FREE) Tapas in the local bars, try that in Andalucia! The rooms are a bit tired, but that only adds to the atmosphere. We will return.

Fantastic location opposite cathedral in quiet part of walled city. Public rooms in hotel are beautifully decorated with many artefacts from Avila's heritage. My room was a little od fashioned in terms of decor but was a perfect fit for the hotel.
