San Sebastian/Donostia is a fantastic resort in Basque country: beautiful beaches, spectactular views & scenery and wonderful nightlife. Palacio de Aiete is a marvellous place to base yourself. While unfortunately being a little out of the main action (taxi fare about 6 euros from the station) it is a bright, sparkling, shiney hotel with more comfort and convenience than the modest booking fee I paid should have bought me. The staff were all friendly, and the multi-plated breakfast served to me in the morning, frankly stunning. You will not regret staying here.
