First impressions of the hotel weren't great, we were given a room that faced a mountain. The room was very dark and had a nasty carpet on the floor that I wouldn't have considered 5 star.
The staff were very accommodating and move us to a much better room that had tiled flooring that overlooked the pool area. The bathroom looked like new!
We had half board and the food was impressive with an excellent selection for starters and desert in the evening.
The roof bar on the 8th floor was excellent for drinks, entertainment and watching the sun set.
Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy with an excellent pool area. I would definitely go back again if staying in Ixia.
