Great hotel, staff helpful, would re book again, our room was above the bulldog bar, and was a bit worried at first but since the new owners last year it is great you can't hear anything so we had plenty of good nights sleep unless we joined in the fun. Great hotel, Great location

Backpacker's Heaven!!

For a backpacker, this place was amazing! Even having stayed in some really great hostels, some of which were about the same price as Oceano, I was expecting much less and was really impressed. My $42/nite room could have easily slept 4! All of the staff were amazing! I could ask them anything and they were able to give me all of the information I needed with a smile! The pool bartender Mo was a kick in the pants. I didn't eat at the restaurant, since I was on a budget (mostly ate the great fish & chips at Ryan's Bar and various Chinese specials), so I can't comment there. My room was clean, safe, and well-situated, with the nearest beach being about two minutes down the street. Be prepared for a slightly cold pool! There is a tiny bit of noise from the street, but only the same amount as if you were staying in any other resort in Costa Teguise. If I am ever in the Canaries again, I will definitely book here.

We have stayed at the oceano now on a number of occasions and we have found the accomodation to be very good, clean and tidy the people here are very helpful and freindly. These apartments are right in the main part of Costa Teguise but you do not hear any noise from the street. This accomodation is whell chair freindly which I think is great. Overall great value for money. I am going to book these apartments to stay in again.

this holtel is totally ideal well situated clean very very friendly the staff cannot be helpful.the pool area is spotless the rooms airy and spacious.the pool bar owners mo and suzanne are a lovely couple.

Pat's Review of 'Oceano'

The Oceano is a small complex in Costa Teguise consisting of about 40 self catering apartments. The rooms are large and clean, all with balcony or patio. Most have a view of the pool which is fairly small but adequate. There are free beds around the pool and you can get tasty food and hot or cold drinks from Mo's bar. Mo and his wife Suzanna are really friendly and make the bar a fun place to hang out if the weather is not so good. On sunny days you can have your drinks and food brought over to you while you lounge round the pool getting that tan. The reception staff are very helpful and any problems are dealt with immediately. You can even hire an electric fire for the cooler evenings at a very modest charge. The Oceano is very well situated being in the middle of Costa Teguise. It is surrounded by shops, supermarkets and bars, but inside the complex it is usually fairly quiet. The beaches are a short walk away and the Friday Night market is just around the corner. I have been going there for four years now and if you are like me and prefer basic accommodation that is small and friendly, the Oceano is the place to go.

Oceano situation wthin Costa Tequise is absolutely perfect, it is very ordinary , but clean. The staff are all very helpful and curtious.
The room we were given on the first night was big and airy, but situated directly above the 'BullDog 'Pub . Fantastic if you want to join them until 3.30am in the morning . The noise was deafening, and vibrations horrendous. Apparently this is one of the only late night places open until late.
We requested a move first thing , and the Staff had organised one by 1pm that day.
The room we relocated to was away from the noise , basic but clean , and its location absolutely perfect.

Review of 'OCEANO'

When I arrived at Oceano, my first impressions were very good. It is situated on one of the main streets of Costa Teguise. Welcome on arrival was friendly and checking in was easy enough. Walking through from reception I was impressed by the pool area. It is a fair size with enough sun loungers, games, bar and food service. Once I got to my room, I was again nicely surprised. The room was very spacious and very clean. It has all that you need and I would put this at the higher end of 2* accommodation. The only reason this does not get a 5 from me is that I did not actually use the facilities, I was out and about all day and night, so only came back to sleep, wash and get ready!!!
With it being in the town centre, you can hear things in your room, but it is not as bad as I thought it would be. Afterall, Costa Teguise isn't exactly night club central!!! Overall, a nice place to stay and a good little place to visit.
