Good Value
04 March 2008
My wife and I have just returned having spent a week at this hotel. 25/2/08 TO 3/3/08. we found the hotel to be very clean, all staff very polite , the food is just too much to manage and very well presented. In fact threr is not one bad thing we could say about the hotel. We arrived at 11.30 am and even though our room would not be ready untill 2pm, we were fitted with the "MAGIC BRACLET" , our bages were taken into safe keeping until our room was ready, so our holiday started within 10 mins of arriving at the hotel. In fact fourty mins from our plane landing we were at the poolside with a drink. If we had known that we would have put some shorts or swimming gear in our hand luggage. So please take note. Also gentlemen please note long trousers are required for dinner in the restaraunt. As a mature coulpe I can hoestlly say it was so relaxing and after a hard day of doing whatever you want during the day, if you can stay awake untill 9.45pm then a very professional nights entertainment awaits you. One thing which I think may swing it for mature couples is that although the hotel is in Costa Teguise you are actually a good half a hour walk from all the bars and "other" entertainment so making the nights peaceful. We would have no hesitation booking again.

Review of 'Occidental Allegro Oasis'
29 March 2007
My wife and I have just returned from our holiday in Lanzarote staying at the Occidential Allegro Oasis. We found the hotel was very good, although we think parts of the hotel are looking a little tired in particular the carpets on the various floors. The food was good, rooms were a decent size. The only thing we were not impressed with was the theme restaurant. There are two to choose from the Grill and the Italian. We chose the Italian and the food was dreadful. My wife had a seafood pizza, the base was so wet and sloppy she could not eat most of it. I had a lasagne which again was awful, there wasn't any meat in it at all. The desserts weren't very good either, I had Tiramasu which was okay and my wife had a lemon sorbet, neither of them very appealing. Apart from that the hotel was good and we would both stay there again.

I have recently returned from a holiday at the Occidental Oasis,If only you could pick up the hotel and move it about a mile down the road,to one side you have a lovely view (not) of the desalanation plant,on the other side a building site, started but now looks like the've just left it ,barely started but not very plesent to look at. The cove is nothing but a pile of volcanic rock with a small corner with sand, probably smaller than your back garden, this is reached through a subway covered in grafiti. The Hotel itself was very nice with the exception of the bath which was old and rusty. The food was o.k but a bit repetitive The entertainment was good but the hotel is so far from anywhere you would nead a taxi to go elswhere. Overall we liked the hotel but not the location,we went to Costa Teguise about a mile down the coast and that was very nice. I hate to be negative with this review but I wish I knew these things before i booked my holiday.

What a fantastic hotel this is! Everything we expected, and a little bit of magical extra as well thanks to the fantastic staff and those great decorations all ready for Christmas. Although we have travelled the world extensively, and enjoyed some truly excellent four and five star hotel experiences, this was the first time we had tried a December break but we would recommend the experience to anyone wanting a break just before Christmas itself and particularly so if you can manage to get into the Occidental Oasis! Large, very clean rooms and excellent food for all tastes. All the staff were willing to make our stay as good an experience as possible - and how they succeeded! The evening entertainment was very special too. With such a large world to explore we make a point of never returning to the same place again - but we shall remember our Oasis experience with great joy!

We have just arrived back from lanzarote after having a two weeks stay in the oasis hotel. Well what can you say WOW!. The hotel is fantastic, a big marbled reception, glass lifts, two big all you can drink bars, just to much food andits nice to. I even wanted some steak one day when there wasnt any in the buffet and they cooked some special.to top it of they check your luggage in for you at the end of the holiday in the reception and take it to the airport so you miss all the check in at the airport. will go again to this hotel, dont let anyone tell you a bad thing about this hotel.

We've just returned from a week in this hotel. It was excellent. Our group consisted of my eldery mother in wheelchair. The staff were so considerate,we were very impressed. The hotel itself is very impressive with glass lifts and marble everywhere.Disabled access is excellent. The rooms were of a very high standard and cleaned every day.8 bottles of water were in a mini fridge in your room and topped up every three days.A nice touch. The food was outstanding, with plenty of variety each day.The bars were good with hardly any waiting to be served. All in all a hotel I would recommend to all and somewhere I intend to revisit.

We have just returned from our second stay at the Occidental Allegro Oasis and we will certainly be returning again soon. The hotel is spotless, we were allocated a lovely family room in the annexe (bedroom & seperate lounge with sofa bed) which is great when you have a 3 year old and a baby tottering around. There is loads of space around the pool with plenty of loungers so there is no need to do the towel dash at the crack of dawn! All of the staff are friendly, many of them recognised us from our previous visit. They put in very long hours, especially the entertainment team and bar staff. The nightly entertainment was of a good standard and the kids disco was the highlight of my daughter's holiday. Food in the restaurant was of a very high standard with lots of variety and there is also a snack bar if you don't want to leave the pool area at lunchtime. Only complaint I can make from my holiday is that I have now discovered that the wind is always blowing in Costa Teguise. Very pleasant in June but not so good in April!!

A modernish 4* hotel, set at the very end of the Costa Teguise resort but with easy access to buses outside the door. The all inclusive deal did in fact provide everything, down to water in your fridge. The food was never worse than excellent, fresh, wide choice and different every meal with snacks during the day iuf you needed them. The staff were very helpful and friendly.Varied entertainment in the evening and we particularly enjoyed watching the Chinese Circus. It must be good because over the weekend it filled with Spanish guests from the mainland and became very lively. We will return

Review of 'OCCIDENTAL ALLEGRO OASIS'

This was the first "all inclusive" option my wife and I had experienced and we were not disappointed. The rooms and the hotel in general are very well appointed and certainly justify the 4 star rating. Eating was a joy with lots of options, plenty of variety and a consistently high standard. The bars were well stocked and offered many well known brands under the all inclusive package,I'm told this is not always the case. The pool area, lounges etc. were all large and well furnished and contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. From what we saw the hotel would also be very suitable for families with the kids pool, entertainments staff running a "Fun Club" and various other activities during the day. Although the hotel is situated a couple of miles from the centre of Costa Teguise it's not realy a problem as the hotel provides such good facilities and evening entertainment. If you want to go into Costa Teguise there's a regular bus service and plenty of Taxis, only 3 euros each way. While the staff are generally well trained, friendly and multi ligual they did tend to favour Spanish guests in the buffet restaurant, ensuring they got the table they wanted and that it was cleared promptly. I also highlighted this on the Hotels own questionnaire. Overall this was an excellent hotel which provided good value for money.

11 November 2005
Very efficient arrival. Doorman waiting to take cases and reception had all paperwork prepared. A first good impression! Hotel clean and appeared well maintained. Rooms spacious, very clean and comfortable. Fridge stocked up with fresh water every 3 days. Never had any problems with service from staff -all very courteus and smart. Food to a high standard and in plentiful supply- variety good. Entertainment was provided every night -some acts better than others! Hotel is a 30min walk from main area of costa teguise most of which is on a lit promenade-views superb. Would certainly visit hotel again -we had value for money. The carpeting in the annexe area looked a little faded and tired but we could not see inside these (family)rooms. My only complaint would be that there were alot of hotel guests smoking in the public areas (obviously not the dining room). My husband was not bothered too much by this. Enjoy your stay

Nov 05 Review of 'OCCIDENTAL ALLEGRO OASIS'
08 November 2005
First impressions were excellent, courteous and helpful staff who were genuinely friendly. Room was excellent, spotlessly clean and well appointed. All inclusive for the week continued in an excellent vein. Food was superb, fresh, plentiful and lots of variety. Hard not to put on weight. Pools were always immaculately clean and well tended. Bar staff very couteous. Entertainment programme was superb bar one night when the resident entertainment staff put on their own show. It was pitiful. Better off having an early night on that one. Hotel facilities excellent. Bus to/from Arrecife and stops outside hotel. Location is quiet, slightly away from resort centre (1.5 Kms) but nicer for it. Beach not worth bothering with. An excellent choice for families / couples alike. Well deserving of its 4 star rating. Nicest hotel staff we have ever met in 26 years travelling abroad. Will definitely return in 2006.

Review of 'OCCIDENTAL ALLEGRO OASIS'
09 September 2005
Just like to share our holiday experience with anyone who is thinking of booking this hotel. We have just returned after one week's stay and had an absolutely superb holiday. We thought the hotel was wonderful and only spent one night in the town of Costa Teguise itself. There was no need to leave the hotel as everything you needed was under one roof! The food was plentiful and varied and you could literally eat and drink all day if you so wished. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the entertainment team work very hard! The bar staff in particular were very accommodating and there was never a queue at any of the bars. There isn't much around and about the hotel and Costa Teguise is about half an hour's walk away. However, for a lazy, 'lie around the pool' holiday with everything on tap this was just the job. The one and only downside to our stay was the air conditioning. It can get very hot in Lanzarote in September and the air conditioning throughout the hotel is quite poor, so take a fan! All in all, we thought we got superb value for money in extremely pleasant surroundings and Alpharooms had one of the best room rates around for this hotel. We have used them before and will definitely use them again!
