Fuerteventura Five
09 February 2008
Stayed here for first week in Feb '08, apts were spacious, bright and cleaned daily, towels and linen changed more than expected. Pool bar food good, didnt eat in restaurant (cant comment), mini market convinient but expensive. Very family friendly, may not suit young and lively, but good location. Very well laid out complex. Would stay here again.

22 October 2007
I stayed at the Oasis Dunas in October 2005. Found the complex lovely and the pools really good. Everything is close by and there are some scenic beaches - flag beach and glass beach, both cost around 2 euros by taxi. Rooms were cleaned regularly and staff were helpful. Will be going again next year.

Oasis Duna
16 September 2007
Stayed August 07 in two apartments with daughter, son-in-law, and four children. Accommodation fine. Worried a bit at first - toaster didn't work, fridge didn't work - but both replaced very soon after reporting. Towels changed more frequently than advertised, and the cleaning ladies figured out that we were with one year old twins who had sleep in afternoon so moved their cleaning times to accommodate their nap. Brilliant. Felt prices a bit over the top in the resort - but can work round them by moving a little outside. Entertainment brilliant for small kiddies - mini disco brilliant. Agree with comments about towels. It was a case of can't beat them so join them - the pool is very busy around 7 am as people put out their towels! Knew in advance that as grandparents it was the kind of hotel we would normally avoid - childrens clubs etc - but we were pleasantly surprised. Great fun - and the complex is so large we were never disturbed by noise, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Have visited Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and personnally preferred Fuerteventura. Didn't mind the walk to the beach - timed it with kiddies needing sleeps - so ideal.

Good, But Not Great
03 September 2007
Let me start by saying that if you've never been away before, or if you are a family with kids under 12, you will probably find it great. Unfortunately, if you have been to Spain or its islands before, then you will find it good but no better than other places. I have absolutely no problems with the Oasis Dunas. The apartments were basic but very clean - towels and bedding were changed daily. There are 2 huge pools with plenty of sunbeds (but not enough so be prepared to get up at 7am, put your towels out, then go back to bed like everyone else - complaining doesn't work). Ask for an 'A' block apartment, preferably an upstairs one as they overlook the pool. If you get a 'B' or 'C' block, all you can see from your patio is the back of the apartment in front. The pool side bar is reasonably priced (3 euros for a pint of San Miguel) and serves the usual English snacks (chips with everything). The on-site supermarket is also reasonably priced (contrary to some reports) as long as you don't insist on buying English foods (Heinz soups, Kellogs Corn Flakes, etc) which are expensive. However, if you want a newspaper, you have to go to Netto which is a 10-15 minute walk each way and is only a few cents cheaper. The water park is just across the road but is expensive at 20 euros per adult for a day pass. My advice, just get an aftermoon ticket (14 euros from 3pm to 6pm). you will find that 3 hours is plenty. Get a sunbed or a locker (3 euros each) - you don't need both, and dont get a double ring as you can only use it on one ride (not the big one). Expect to be harrassed outside every bar and restaurant on the road into Corralejo (15-20mins each way). It is good, but average with an abundance of English bars selling McDonalds type food. If you'd rather eat your own arm, head into the old town or down by the seafront. Chill out after your meal in the Blanco Cafe. Park the kids on the internet (3 euros an hour) and relax with a glass of red wine (nectar) or a San Miguel to the sounds of Ibiza chillout music in pleasant surroundings (it's like a whitewashed cave - have a look). The town is not very photogenic. I struggled to find interesting stuff to take pictures of. So, to sum up, if you don't mind spending your holidays with crowds of other English people (think tattoos, beer bellies, cellulite, lobster-pink flesh, etc), you will have a great time. If not, then you will enjoy it all the same, you will just feel like something is missing...

Ideal for Family Holiday
25 August 2007
Had a great time and our second visit to this accomidation. Entertainment very good for a family with young children and we all enjoyed the evening shows. The only downside was the Towels on the sunbeds and certain reception staff could be a little more customer friendly. Over all very good value for money and my wife and I are booked to go back for a short break without the kids later this year. (Try Tony Romas, La Tasca, Slow Boat 11 & Blue Jeans for eating out).

Naughty but nice
19 August 2007
We have just got back from our two weeks stay at Oasis Duna apartments in Corralejo. The apartment we stayed in was a very typical holiday apartment.Basic in every way.The apartment was generally clean but was spoilt by the many, splattered mosquitoes on the walls and bizarre foot prints on the ceiling!?
The complex was very good, with four good sized swimming pools, bars, snack bars and mini supermarket. We did our shopping at the supermarket, five minutes walk from Oasis Duna, because it was far cheaper.
Corralejo is a nice resort in the old part, with some lovely sea front restaurants and bars. The resort is let down though by the horrific main road which consists of burger bars, steak houses and tacky shops.Unfortunately,we had to walk down this road every night to get to the nice part of the town.
We hired a car whilst we were there so we spent most days at the excellent nearby beaches. The main beach is called Flag beach which is ideal for the kids as it is about five miles of golden sand.
Overall we had a great holiday and would go to Corralejo again, but probably wouldn't stay at the Oasis Duna...Why?..Well because there was a real dragon on reception and they charge thirty euros a week for the T.V!! So to some up Oasis Duna....It's naughty but nice.

Stayed here in jan 07 and march 07 and wife and her sisters stayed in june 07. if sinead thinks all staff were rude she was being watched by DLA inspectors who are going to cut her benefits! reception and bar staff are very friendly. excellent location to explore corralejo and very good value accommodation.

Review of 'OASIS DUNA'
09 August 2005
First the Subjective Stuff..... If you have kids, they will enjoy it. The Airtours Entertainment team (which seem to have dibs on this place), work hard and do an admirable job. If I wanted to be sniffy, I would say its all a bit Butlins, but if you like this kind of scene, go for it. But thats my only criticism - its a bit naff round the edges. Now the good stuff. Great value - Alphas prices are very sharp, apartments are good, pool is great, supermarket is fine, bars are good, beach bar serves good value food and drink, location is brilliant, staff are really, really good and basically - this is about as good as it gets for the price that you pay. If you want sophistication - don't go here, but if you want a great value family holiday, that your kids will love.....it would be difficult to do much better. Corallejo is a matter of taste - its a bit tacky and kiss me quick in some ways, but down on the harbour front in the old village, its pretty, its got a lovely atmosphere and there are some cracking restaurants - best beaches, hop on No.6 Bus to 'Las Hoteles' for E1.00 each, or even better take a No.8 to El-Cotillo - its stunning. Go to this place - book with Alpha and you will have a ball.

Review of 'OASIS DUNA'
01 June 2005
We went to these apartments last september and had a wonderful time; it was so wonderful that we have booked to go back this september. There is plenty of stuff for children to do, sand dunes are close by, also there is a water park about 500 meters away. Eating out is really cheap and there are lots of different restaurants to go to.
