we went as a group of 20 ranging in ages from 20 to over 60. we had a great time and the hotel was in a good place to explore from. got taxi from airport to hotel as werent sure about how close to train station but got the no 8 train back and it was free. some of the rooms were better than others but all were clean and thats what matters most. we were in triple room on 5th floor and were facing side street so it was quiet enough but others on the main street found it noisy, but to be in a well situated hotel there will always be noise or else you.d be in the middle of nowhere. def go back again as for value for money and location it was great.

Excellent location. Room clean and reasonable size. Our room was on 1st floor at front of building, noise from main road meant window could not be opened at night so could get stuffy at night. Staff very friendly and breakfast buffet was good. Building work still in progress on top floors so may not be great to have one near them. Would stay again.

Its got everything - great location- lovely staff- comfortable and clean rooms - what building work- didn't hardly notice it - excellent breakfast - we will be returning.

Great friendly staff, very close to franca railway station direct link from the airport at barcelona, good breakfast. Hotel in the middle of been revamped when we stayed, caused us no problems. close to all the sites, gothic area, port vell, the beach, the rambla, all within walking distance. Going back soon couldn't see all the sites, would recommend.

The hotel is in a great location - near the beach in Barceloneta and within around 15 minutes walk of the Ramblas . The metro is located just around the corner . The staff were really very friendly and helpful and the breakfast for such a budget hotel was very good .
However , you do get what you pay for . The foyer , breakfast room and bar have all been recently renovated - and the first floor had the semblance of having been renovated ( new doors on rooms ) but the second floor (where our room was ) was terrible . It consisted of a maze of dingy corridors which unfortunately led into tiny rooms . The bed linen , towels etc although they looked clean were clearly ancient - the room - a double should only have been used as a single . In fact , I couldn't bear being in the room and so my husband and I stayed out all day and as late at night as we could . But it was very very cheap - 179 euro for two people for 3 nights - so I really shouldn't complain .

Brilliant location, very easy to get from Barcelona Airport (free tain to the station then walk distance to the hotel). But, the hotel lobby is far better than the rooms, that were noisy, unsafe, and smelly. Recommend for less than 3 days stay!

brilliant friendly staff, nicely looked after building, good food, located right in the Barri Gothic so easy access on foot to most of the major sights, and justr round the corner from the station directly linked to the airport. Right on a busy main road so noisy all night with traffic, so if you are used to peace then take earplugs!

you get a great positioned hotel the only problem for me was being given a room at the rear, so not good if you dont like enclosed spaces, great for a night or two but Id go mad for any longer without a view of the main square
