Review of 'NOVOTEL EST PARIS BAGNOLET'

This is a lovely well run hotel in the suburbs of Paris. It is superbly located just off the Boulevard Peripherique (Paris Ring Road) and is a mere two minutes walk to the nearest metro station – Galleni. The car park down ramp is tight and manoeuvring around it takes a bit of work. However, this is typical of many Parisian car parks.
It has all the services you would expect from a more expensive hotel like a bar and a restaurant. Breakfast was served buffet style and was tasty and filling. Breakfast finishes at 9.30am but if you miss it they will still serve you a lighter breakfast in the bar up to 12 noon.
Our room was clean and tastefully decorated and had a comfortable double bed with two pull out beds for the kids. The room had a large television with two English speaking channels (Sky News & BBC World) and a kettle and milk for tea/coffee. We spent three nights at this Novotel before moving on to one of the Disney Hotels which was a more expensive but lower quality hotel. I think you will be hard pressed to find a better hotel for the money in or near Paris.

Review of 'NOVOTEL PARIS BAGNOLET'

This was a fantastic hotel, located on the outskirts of Paris - or as the receptionist explained "at the gates of Paris!" This worked really well for us as it was nice to be a little bit away from the city centre. The hotel was just a 2 minute walk from the Galleni Metro Station where we could access other lines to the main sites and attractions. Also, next to the station was a large shopping centre which contained a McDonalds (what else!)and one of the largest supermarkets we had ever seen.
The staff at Novotel were very polite and helpful and were suberb at English. The room was spacious and had a seperate bathroom and toilet as well as adequate hanging space and a TV. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels left. In fact, the whole hotel was very clean and well run. Breakfast was a large continental spread which had us going back for more! The only criticism of the hotel would be the lifts that they had in operation (only 3 for the 18 floors) However, these were reduced from 6 because of building work so were only a tempoary measure and they were only at their busiest at breakfast time.
Novotel had both a restaurant and bar on site which were both beautifully run and decorated. There was also a small gift shop which proved very handy for those last minute presents. Check out was before 12 noon but there is a facility to leave luggage at the hotel free of charge until you head home which we took advantage of.
We only stayed for 3 nights but they were the best 3 nights we could have had in Paris. It was even better for the amount of money we paid which was next to nothing. We would definitley go back if we were in Paris again. Well done Novotel!

Review of 'NOVOTEL PARIS BAGNOLET'

We had a most enjoyable 4 day stay at the Novotel Paris Bagnolet. The room provided excellent accommodation for the family (two very large comfortable double beds, the sheets and towels were changed each day). The buffet breakfast offered a large choice. The staff were very helpful and the hotal was located within a short walk of the Metro Station Galieni and we would definetly go there again.

Review of 'NOVOTEL PARIS BAGNOLET'

There were certainly good and bad points about this hotel, depending on what you are looking for. I have rated it a 4 given that it was a budget deal and 4 of us got for £116 for 2 nights all in.
The hotel is situated a few miles out from the hub of things, but in many ways that can be a good thing as you can get out of the bizz and the buzz of things. Great if you have children with you. Although on the outskirts of the Metro zone 1 (5 mins ride), the hotel was right beside the entrance. Also next to the Gallieni exit was a shoping centre with good shops a supermarket and a McDonalds of course!!! Had we been there longer we would not have been stuck for things to do. There also appeared to be a little hub of local activity a few hundered yards away, and we were close to the graves of Jim Morrison & Oscar Wilde of course in the Pere Lachaise - not that we could see it from our room!!!!
The Novotel was good basic standard accomodation. We felt slightly cramped as 4 of us were in one room, but we had expected that - and only spent overnights there while exploring the city daytimes. There was a smallish bath with a good powerful shower and a seperate toilet. The room got very hot and airless at night and the window did not open.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room served a good buffet breakfast with a nice variety of hot and cold food and drink. Decor was fresh and pleasant. Shops in foyer were competative and handy. Conference facilities looked very good. Only views were concrete and windows of surrounding buildings.
We would go there again for a bargain break to Paris.

Review of 'NOVOTEL PARIS BAGNOLET'

For value for money, the hotel was excellent - especially considering the cost of some hotels I priced up for a quad room. It is beginning to show signs of ageing above lobby level, but it was clean and the staff were polite. You almost need to be an Olympic high-jumper to get over the side of the bath to use the shower, so shorter people beware. The restaurant provides an adequate choice and the food was cooked well. Breakfast was much better than I had expected with a very tasty and well-presented spread. It is away from the city centre, but the Metro is only a 2 minute walk. The city centre a 15 minute ride away - strongly recommend you use this mode of transport to get around. Getting to the hotel if you are approaching from the North on the A3 is a nightmare. If you are not a local, you will take 45 minutes from seeing the hotel to finding the right lane to get you into the hotel car park - I even had to pay to get out of the Eurolines Shopping Centre where one of the many wrong attempts took me!
