What our customers say

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights at the beginning of July 2007. PRO'S The hotel is really really clean and has excellent facilities. The swimming pool area is lovely and very child friendly (we didnt have children but there were child friendly gates separating the pool from the pool bar area and grounds) There was a childrens pool which was very shallow and therefore good for them to play in. The sun loungers at the pool were really comfy and had a head shade that was really good. I have read other reviews that say you had to pay to use them but this wasnt the case while we were there. The maids came everyday and the rooms were cleaned, beds changed and towels changed. The pool bar food we had was lovely. The actual hotel is very stylish and well looked after. The hotel also runs a shuttle bus for free into Cannes. This was popular and has to be booked. It leaves each hour from about 8am to 10pm which is brilliant. CON'S The mini bars in the rooma are magnetic and so even moving any item will result in it being charged to your room. Items in the mini bar were quite expensive (can of coke was 4.50 euros) Infact all drinks and food in the hotel are fairly dear (or maybe this is standard in a 4* hotel) A vodka and coke in the bar cost 11 euros (approx £7.50) Room service was not cheap either but again this could be standard in a 4* hotel. It took us approx 20 mins to walk from the hotel to the very centre of Cannes To get to the main shopping street (Rue D'Antibes) It was about 10 mins. Taxis are not the cheapest either. Ranging between 10 and 20 euros for the short drive into the centre. Public transport is excellent. It cost us 1.30 euros to get a bus from Nice airport to Cannes. The same distnce in a taxi is about 65 euros. The pay per view movies are also expensive and some were advertised to be in english and then were actually in french. They range between 14 and 18 euros which is dear when you dont understand the language!!! I found that staff on the reception desks were not really that friendly. Whilst not rude, they didnt smile or acknowledge us as we walked past. The stay would have been more pleasant with more friendly staff. Overall a really lovely hotel. Slightly outside the centre of Cannes but not too far away. As long as you are prepared to pay a lot for drinks and food at the hotel I would recommend this hotel.
