Trip to the Bulbfields

We got a great deal on alpharooms.com for 2 nights breakfast included at this hotel, to use it as a base to travel to the bulbfields. The hotel did not have our reservation when we arrived so took an hour to get into our room. We were given a voucher for a free drink in the bar and sincere apologies from the reservation staff. The room was standard for this type of hotel but comfortable. We ate in the restaurant as it was quite late and glad we did. The staff were wonderful and particularaly attentive to our 6 year old. Breakfast had a good selection. The pool we made use of on both days but had trouble entering the ladies changing room (lock was broken) and a man walked in on us as we were getting changed. Not ideal. Hotel offers a shuttle timetabled to/from the airport which was convenient but this drops off/picks up at of this hotel chains estabilshments so it got very packed/hot and some unable to board. Would stay here again if I got a very good deal otherwise we would probably try elsewhere.

Review of 'Dorint Novotel Amsterdam Airport'

Thank you alpharooms.com once again you have come up trumps.There were 3 of us and our stay at this hotel was great,we loved the easy access to the city. The free shuttle to and from the airport was a great help. We got the train each day into amsterdam to central station from the airport the trams,canal buses were all located just outsie the station.Get the travel card which covers all the transport it saves fiddling for change and good value too.We had 2 meals in the city which were good plus few glasses of the house wine all at reasonable prices.But I am glad we saved the last night to dine in the hotel,the menue had a great choice and the food was superb,with excellent service compilments to the chef, I will stay here again, the staff were so polite and very helpful a lovely clean hotel, room service great and a great variety for breakfast we ate so much we did not need food till evening.A lovely relaxed lounge with bar, we unwound each day here and reflected on our days outings.Amsterdam is a beautiful city with plenty to see and do.If I win the lottery I will definitely buy an apartment here.
