Great Hotel

26 June 2008
have just spent 12 nights in noelia with my boyfriend this was our first time staying at the hotel. we asked to be on the 4th floor with a pool view room and thats exactly what we got. room was beautiful very clean, we were half board the food was excellent & plenty to choose from and plenty of desserts. hotel entertainment was rubbish but luckily the hotel is close to all the night life its a matter of 5mins away, i recommend "the corner bar" they do alot of good acts like chubby brown and billy connoley and we went to a good irish pub called "hole in the wall" the only thing i didnt like was the main pool was very deep i had to buy a rubber ring to float around on! we did a few excursions, mount teidi and loro paque very good but bus journeys are long. overall great hotel deserves its 4 star, staff were nice and we will definetly be returning to noelia!

Not bad, not great

25 May 2008
On the whole a good holiday, Las Americas is definitely trying hard to clean up its act. Hotel - both roof pools out of commision, lifts - dreadful, on a daily basis would break down, close on you, not close on you, take you half way and stop. Food was ok quality but choice not great. Restaurant staff were great as was reception staff however bar staff forget it. We left one night after half an hour of being ignored. Went to another bar placed our order and after 20 mins of waiting they told us they'd lost it! Not great service at all. Weather fab, main pool fab, room clean and very comfortable.

Friendly Four Star

14 February 2008
I stayed at the Noelia Sur for 7days (6-13th Feb 2008) the staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the food is good if a little repetitious (you will probably look to eat outside after 5 days or so for a break and some variety!! Tip: There are plenty of cheap restaurants and English pubs nearby ( I recommend the Indian Palace and the Giddy Goose Pub) for a change. Please note : there are charges for using the room safe and the fridge - c. 2.8 euros a day AND there is NO iron or ironing board in the hotel at all !! So you'd better iron everything before you come away !! Overall a very comfortable hotel and definately comparable with all the other 4 star hotels in Playa de las Americas. It is also in the quiet part of the town so enjoy a good nights sleep !!

perfect

21 September 2007
I cannot understand people what are they looking for. this Hotel in my estimation is perfect for what everyone needs. it has excellent rooms for the the disabled, which I had veiwed by a resident the day I was leaving. It also has a fantastic sun roof where children are not allowed giving total peace to any traveller that needs to shut themselves down. The food was a pleasure to eat at any time and the rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. entertainment was very good ,only problem people from other countries would not dance so it made it difficult for residents who would have love to dance to get up on the floor. I danced on my balcony while listening from my terrace it was lovely.

stayed here more than 26 times with family and as a couple. Some areas need upgrading eg corridors need painting showers replaicing some rooms upgrading but cant fault most of staff being helpful, plan to go again Sept 07 perhaps Mar 08 usually spend 5 weeks a year there so think fridge and safe should be in the price you pay as this can add to bill at end of holiday when you have already spent a lot of money in hotel, but overall we enjoy the hotel

Noelia Sur

07 June 2007
Have just spent two weeks at the Noelia Sur. Staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Food was very good but restaurant could have been spaced better as seemed to be bumping into folks most of the time. Entertainment on every night, which went on til about 11 ish - good mixture for all ages. We would certainly recommend this hotel for couples and for families - they couldn't do enough for you. Roof top sunbathing was really good as it was practically deserted so peace and quiet all day to soak up the sun. Would certainly go back again.

A good time was had by all

26 May 2007
Just returned from another week at the Noelia Sur having been the same time last year. As before the hotel was excellent and we were even given a pool view room at no extra cost. The food was good something to suit everyone, but I do not think it was just as good as last year. I also think the chefs could do with a lesson on how to cut meat as sometimes when the joint was cut the wrong way the meat was tough. Ther was a problem with the sunbeds as some people were taking mattresses for their beds when they didn@t need them leaving others without, but after someone complained a member of staff gave them out to the ones who needed them and the problem was solved. All in all a very good stay and we will return.

The old "sunbed" saga

15 May 2007
May 2007, (1week). Arrived at hotel after a 7 & half hour delay in Aberdeen, , but our mood soon changed once we saw first, the hotel lobby, then the spacious room. 5th floor with pool view(560). clean towels daily and room thoroughly cleaned daily. Check in was a tad slow as they took everybodies passports/documentation at same for proccessing, so we had to sit and wait, about half hour, but there was a champagne welcome & a cold buffet meal. All staff cheerie and friendly, very helpful, the desk helped us by phoning office to ensure our return taxi turned up. Retuarant spacious and airy, but food tended to be luke warm and repetative, apart from the cook-to-order grill, as long as you were prepared to join a longish queue. Pool area large & clean, But then the sunbed saga, People jumping the ropes prior to opening (9 a.m.). Some people also take 2 or 3 matresses for one bed as they were a bit uncomfortable, so although plenty beds still avaialble, no matresses. also some beds reserved from first light but occupiers not turning up 'til lunch time. But no complaints re hotel or holiday and would definitely return to the Noelia.
