Nice stay

We stayed for a couple of days to see and experience Cairo on our way to Sharm El Sheik. A lovely hotel. The food in the jazz bar and the breakfast package was more than adequate and the views over the nile at any time of the day were breathtaking - loved watching the sunset and got some stunning photos from the roof terrace. Was a bit disappointed about the lack of restaurants in the neighbouring area and would not venture over the road outside too often!! Could have visited one of the boat restaurants on the opposite side of the nile but, was too exhausted after a long days sightseeing at the Pyramids. Staff were friendly, even when we arrived at 3am after a delayed flight, and could not do enough for you - it did help to tip well of course but, it was worth it. Hotel was in a great location for all the central sightseeing spots and would definitely stay there again if visiting Cairo - a city to be experienced rather than described to others!

The Nile Hilton

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days in March 2008. We were upgraded to a junior suite and the room was spacious and had all the facilities. The roof top bar provides excellent views of Cairo and is good for relaxation at the end of the day. The breakfast selection and service was of the usual high Hilton standard. The pool area is not very large but well serviced and no one is allowed to reserve the sun loungers and then disappear which ensures that every one gets a chance to enjoy this area. The pool side food was very good. The hotel is very conveniently located in very close proximity to the Egyptian museum. The roads outside the hotel is very busy with traffic and care has to be taken when venturing out and crossing the road. The hotel has a very good selection of restaurants but there is no outside restaurant in the near viccinity. We had an excellent stay at the hotel and highly recommend it.
