Good Choice

Central, clean, well run, attentive staff, highly recommended,apart from air conditioning in summer. That needs attention. Otherwise a perfect base from which to explore this magnificent city, with so much more to offer than the European Parliament. Breakfast has huge choice and a good start to the day. For travel outwith the city, main station c.8 minutes away. All sights nearby - Grand''Place, St Michel et Gudule, Ste Catherine not far, Sablon c.15 minutes and Marolles. Don't miss the latter's Sunday market, especially in good weather! Restarant in hotel but plenty nearby - Arcadi in Rue Aenberg merits a special mention as does Sin-Ya Chinese near Grand'Place and Bombay Inn. This NH wins because of location.

The hotel is situated on a quiet road at the front of St Michaels Cathederal and a ten minutes gentle stroll to the Grand Place and just aroud the corner from the superb A La Morte Subite bar with a wide selection of Belgian beers.
Reception staff were very friendly, efficient and helpfull; rooms were of adequate size, modern and clean; Breakfast was mainly continental but with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. I thought this was a good quality hotel and have stayed in a lot worse for the same money
