I have to say had a great stay in NY but because it was NY and not for the Hotel--the only thing we can say for the Hotel is that the location was excellent right by all the Theatres and the beds were clean but...............and a big but:  I never thought they allowed hotels in this condition to be a Hotel. The deco was awful--wallpaper in the hall, stairways and rooms peeling off and some parts stapled together. In the room there was damp on the walls by window and also we had water coming in from upstairs rooms so had to move all our clothes that were hanging up where the water was coming in and some got wet.  A very very shabby Hotel indeed and i know we did not pay the earth for it but expected it to be at least quite decent but it was not

I booked this hotel room through alpharooms.com, mainly for the location. It is literally round the corner from Times Square, Broadway, in Midtown Manhatten. Although the hotel is a no- frills venue, the service is excellent and friendly. The sheets on the bed and the towels are clean and fresh everyday, the room is air-conditioned and there is a shower en suite. Included in the price is breakfast consisting of do-nuts and coffee, what more do you need! Having said that, the room is basic; we were looking for somewhere to sleep and freshen up only, that is what you get. It would not be suitable for disabled travellers as there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow and quite steep. Ideal for a traveller on a budget. Very near to many and varied places to eat to suit most pockets.
