Problem with Balcony Wall
02 July 2009
I am a mature solo traveller, very experienced in staying in very many hotels. This was a lovely, clean very modern hotel. However, the thing that really spoilt my visit was the fact that on the balcony the intervening wall between all rooms was only 24 inches high. A child of 3 could have climbed over the wall and into the next or any one of the rooms along the row. It meant that when I went to have a rest I had to lock the patio door and the same if I went for a shower. I found this quite unsettling as being a woman on my own I want to feel safe. What made it so surprising is the fact that a vast amount of money has been spent on the hotel to bring it up to a very high standard. this problem may seem insignificant to many but to a single woman, it is not at all suitable. I won't stay there again.

Excellent Hotel-Can Pastilla Majorca
08 June 2009
Excellent value on Bed & Breakfast.Close to beach and Marina.
Service and attention to detail very professional.
Breakfast--excellent selection
Super Gym/Sauna/Turkish Bath and adjacent pool.In addition the hotel has a rooftop pool and bar.
Bedrooms are comfortable, modern and perfectly clean.
Cocktail Bar excellent with high level of service from knowledgeable bar staff.
Although classified as 3 star--it has a better than expected level of service and ambiance.
My son and I enjoyed our stay and would book there again when next in Can Pastilla Majorca.

Nice and modern hotel, very clean, located close to the sea with a very good restaurants and coctails bar around, which have been important to enjoy nice food (compare to the bad breakfast meal in the hotel). Good offer of massage, which was great -recommend.

Lovely hotel but not the food
18 November 2008
We stayed in late September for a few nights and found the hotel to be excellent with friendly staff, the only complaint was that the food could have been better. However as we liked the hotel we returned in the beginning of November and although the price to stay at the hotel has increased considerably it appears that the hotel has gone through a severe cost cutting exercise and the food has got even worse. The meals are now taken in the Bar area as opposed to the restaurant itself, and the staff are thin on the ground. It is now table service for dinner rather then buffet style, and the choices are limited to a fish or meat course, these meals were almost all over cooked and stewed, this was evident by the amount of left overs that went back to the kitchen. There is no salad bar and very limited fruit on offer, and being a vegetarian is not an option. The breakfast although buffet style is a very disorganised affair with guests having to find staff in order to get service and food replenished. A beautiful modern hotel with great staff but is badly let down by the quality of the food. Anyone staying in Majorca should be made aware of the amount of crime in Palma, there is an epidemic of bag snatches and stealing of wallets, pickpockets target the tourists and frequent the buses and bus queues. I speak from personal experience of this. A lovely hotel but let down by the food

Stayed here for almost one week in october with half board. I have to say that this hotel was very good and I mean very good. This hotel is definitely a 4-star hotel if I compare to other hotel I have been to. It was clean and the service was pefect. If I go back to Mallorca I will absolutely stay here again.

Excellent facilities, excellent accommodation, fantastic rooms, if the food had been as good as everything else, then it would have been 5/5. The cooked breakfast was interesting to say the least, on several occasions, I really had no idea what it was that I was being invited to eat! Definitely go back! At the time of writing I have just arrived home and for a 4* hotel it offers outstanding value. But please, do something about the grub.

Just returned from the Nautic - (30Aug-6Sept). The hotel couldn't be any closer to the beach. The staff were very helpful. The food was very good with plenty of variety. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend it. If there is one drawback it would be that the room size was small but that wasn't a problem!

Stylish Hotel- very minimalist
16 September 2008
Enjoyed a recent short stay here. Public areas are very modern and trendy with great seating and very efficient air conditioning! -important when temperatures are in the 30s. Very good selection for breakfast and evening meal with constant supply of everything. The hotel is popular with Spanish and Germans, english is in the minority and very little information available in english so do your research before you go. Generally this is true in the whole resort and we enjoyed this. The rooms are nice, but felt the minimalist style had been taken too far, only 1 hard wooden chair in the room and no balcony furniture at all. Rooms with a seaview did seem to be allowed 1 chair on balcony though! Rooftop pool was lovely, very peaceful, loungers and chairs always available and beautiful view of beach and marina. There was also a great cycle track/path which went round bay to s'Arenal or in other direction to Palma. Great bus service to Palma, about every 10 minutes, took about 25minutes to the Cathedral and cost only 1.10 euros. Overall very nice hotel and far superior to some of 4 star hotels in the area!

WOW! what a fab hotel, arrived at quarter to eleven in morning and was given room straight away.requested high floor and sea veiw if possible when booked and it was exactly what i got! view over the harbour and out to sea.rooms were big and smartly decorated, i had a twin room all to myself. the bathroom was done out in different shades of grey tiles and looked really great.a hairdryer was supplied.the room was cleaned everyday, given fresh towels and you are supplied with complimentary shampoo and shower gell also.nice touch. the lady that cleared my room was very friendly. the one thing i would say or should i say request is please put mirrors above the dressing table. i only stayed bed and breakfast which was served buffet style, though fried eggs and pancakes were cooked fresh in front of you. plenty of choice including fresh fruit, cereals, cakes, toast and fried breakfast and much more. my one complaint is the tables were not cleared and set up most of the time. the bar area was done out really well and the waterfall outside really added an unique feature, lovely. the staff on reception were all friendly and were only to pleased to help you. i would highly recommend this hotel and I would book to stay here again without a doubt.

Great but needs polishing
10 September 2008
Just (sept 08) come back from this Hotel, booked with alpharooms, about £50 a night for a double, half-board for 2. The hotel looks great in it's new furnishings, there was still a bit of work going on here and there but we weren't disturbed. However there were a few things that were already showing signs of wear after what must be only a few months. Plaster was come out of bits of our room in places, a lot of the tiles had fallen out of the swimming pool about 10% of our bathroom ceiling was missing revealing all sorts of wires, pipes and brickwork. I'm sure these are just teething problems, otherwise the hotel was great. Great location, quiet at nights, great food, soft toilet-roll(!) and is an absolute bargain at the price we paid.

one word for this hotel 'excellent'
12 August 2008
excellent hotel - newly opened after major refurb. great location 5 mins from airport, 10 mins on bus from palma ( or approx 50 mins coastal walk) located in quiet area oppostite the beach ( about 15 metres) hotel has very modern feel and has a welcoming reception area, rooms are a high standard, sea views are lovely so upgrade to sea view, we had triple room but plenty of space, TV includes sat channels ( couple of english news channels) bathroom big and very well decorated with classy modern look ( includes hair dryer) public areas all lovely, good size bar which includes good terrace area overlooking beach. Excellent spa area with spa pool, gym, steam room and treatments ( small charge) meals are all buffet style with good variety of hot and cold options. Roof top pool area and decked terrace / bar area. great views over can pastilla, pool area excellent continuing with the modern theme with decking and designer feel - the hotel is 3 star but sure will be regraded to 4 star very soon. was a gem of a place to stay close to resort centre which is a very quiet area of majorca which retains its spanish feel - mostly spanish/ french and english visitors - a few english bars on beach front.

Although the hotel was not quite finished it was still fabulous. They gave us an upgraded suite with a great view of the ocean and hotel water feature. Lovely friendly helpful staff and manager. A classy hotel with rooftop pool and bar, stunning views over the marina and also a groundfloor spa pool. Definately a place for adults only. I will definately be back - for a girly weekend as well as with my partner. Can Pastilla is just a short taxi ride from the airport and the resort is relaxed and flat with great beach.
