Very Disappointed with this hotel

31 August 2008
just come back from hotel natali, only stayed for bed and breakfast but I would of been very disapointed if we had been all inclusive, food near enough the same every morning. The swimming pool was very tiny for the size of the hotel, not enough sun loungers. rooms tidy and cleaned every day. The air conditioning was excellant, there was one paticular member of bar staff which had an attitude problem but the rest was ok, and also the hotel is very very spanish, the entertainment for the children was terrible but would of been ok if they spoke and understood spanish i certainly will not be going back to this hotel, also would not recommend to anyone with walking difficultys.

You get what you pay for.

Having spent 10 days at Natali I was actually glad to get home. When Alpharooms emailed for me to review the place I thought I should wait a while to see if my impression improved. Anyway, it hasn't so I thought I'd better write this to try to save someone else a spoiled holiday. It was definitely cheap, and I now know why. It's handy for the airport, town centre is five minutes walk away, beach is down about a hundred almost vertical steps and along a few baking hot roads. Rooms were clean, but whilst maid did come in every day we had the same bedding for ten days, numbers of towels left seemed a bit random as well. Only one chair between three of us on the balcony, which looked out onto main road into Torremolinos, and the pool was the size of a postage stamp. Food was not the worst we have had, and we managed to get something from each meal. Plenty of ice cream. Staff didn't seem concerned when my daughter was stood on her chair screaming because of the cockroach crawling around under our table. The all inclusive meals, outside the main meal times, extended to a choice of ham, cheese or ham and cheese sandwiches between 11am and noon. The tiny pool was taken over by a bunch of Spanish teenagers, who never tired of jumping in and climbing out and shouting and whistling at there friend hanging off their various balconies. The pool games were infrequent and in Spanish. In the end we gave up and started using another hotel's pool. We went to the entertainment one night, it was advertised as disco time, but it was a load of Spanish ballroom music that the pensioners were dancing to. I found out where all the air conditioning was going, the entertainment room was freezing. There was a smoking room in the corner, near the bar, but so many people were using it that it was a constant pea soup atmoshere, and I smoke 20 a day. Didn't have a problem getting all inclusive drinks within the hours of 10:30am to 11:00pm, but then again I only had a few. We went to another hotel and paid for drinks and watched their entertainment in English. Chinese restaurant over the road was good value and excellent quality by way of a change. Air conditioning just made a noise, but no cooling. Toilet blocked on our 1st day, and in the end, after three requests to the staff, I unblocked it myself. There were four tiny lifts, but the chance of getting into one was very slim. I've tried to write this as positively as possible, so if you want to take the risk, well, good luck.

Very good value

19 July 2008
I am somewhat confused by the comments made 0n 12 July. I am just back yesterday and found no problems with the hotel. Yes it does cater for a mainly Spanish crowd but my overall experience was excellent. Good food, friendly and helpfull staff and clean rooms. If like the customer at 12/7/08 you dont like the Spanish people then my advice is to holiday in Blackpool!

WARNING WARNING WARNING

10/7/08 Just back from what I can only describe is a Hostel for spanish teens. Dont know where they got 3 stars as it is definitely a HOSTEL bedrooms tiny they crushed 4 of us into bedrooms meant for 2 serious health &safety concerns. Staff extremely rude they will not serve the all inclusive paying guests after 10pm in the bar and dont bother complaining reception will do nothing. 800 rooms in this hotel and there were 37 loungers and 1 parasol between us all if you want to cool off get into your bath as the pool is tiny and full of spanish teens. These teens ran riot at night banging on doors shouting and hanging around reception and on the stairs shouting and roaring - again staff did nothing!!The only entertainment we witnessed was a DJ playing songs from Noahs Ark!!! Twice it had advertised acts which didnt bother to turn up (they had sense !) wish I had before booking this HOSTEl, still trying to figure where they got the 3 stars as believe me fellow travellers it is definitely a HOSTEL aimed solely for rude spanish teens. And if you have already booked bring the following: spanish phrasebook, deck of cards, bottle bleach, anti-depressants, walking shoes (4 the trek to beach). Still getting over this gastly place!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really Fed Up!

25 June 2008
Just come back after a short break to this Hotel. Was so disappointed. Full of Spanish kids on a 5 day tournament, couldn't get to the Pool, it was taken over by them! Food was fine if you were Spanish, but not really good for the English. Couldn't believe how far the beach was, down steep steps if you took the first left immediately after the hotel, or gentler sloping steps if you went down to Calle San Miguel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you want to mix with the English - definitely geared up for the Spanish Holiday Maker!!

a pleasant surprise

22 June 2008
after reading some other reviews we were a bit unsure what to expect, but what a pleasant surprise, yes it does cater for a lot of spanish so what your in spain. the hotel staff are brilliant and cannot do enough for you, the rooms are clean and of a reasonable standard, the beds were made everyday and the towels changed. we only had breakfast and it was buffet style, there was plenty of choice from cereals to nice fresh cooked food (bacon eggs sausage ham cheese etc) the hotel has a nice bar, gym massive tv room, a very clean swimming pool, there was entertainment every evening and there was plenty of things to do for the kids if you decided to stay round the hotel if you are looking for a good quality budget hotel then the natali is for you. the hotel is situated across from the bus station and very easy to get around, the only down side is the hotel is located in a busy part of the area, you do get a lot of traffic noise at night until the early hours. we would not hesitate in going to this hotel in the future

Good Value

02 January 2008
The two of us stayed here for 1 week christmas 2007 HB basis.Took only 10 mins in taxi to hotel, Location good, nice hotel view, hotel/rooms lovley & clean, staff friendly. good value compared to other 3 star hotels. It did cater for the spanish more but i guess it depends on how much time you want to spend at the hotel than out and about. The food was ok but if you are picky go room only, beach a little walking distance and the steps a killer. I agree with some of the other reviews if your not put off with it being mainly spanish and just looking for good value accomodation in a location were you can get around its worth a visit.

Nice place to visit, but......

26 July 2007
Me and the Mrs took our 9 year old for just under a weeks break. The hotel is close to the airport and in the middle of the town. Although the hotel offers a free shuttlebuss to the beach it like me you want to make your own way about and explore a bit it was hard work to get to the beach and it meant a lot of steps to get town to the sea. I must agree with a lot of the other reviews i have read, the hotel was clean tidy BUT VERY SPANISH. There were a few English, German and Dutch families, but it seemed to be 90% Spanish. We went on a half board basis and enjoyed both the evening meals as well as the breakfasts. Having to pay for a bottle of water for dinner was a bit tight, but i could not fault the food or service. It seemed to cater a little for everyone. The rooms were clean and tidy and beds made and towls changed on a daily basis. The swimming pool was not the biggest but adequate for what we wanted, but there was not too much space around the pool to sun bathe and keep an eye on the youngster. Yes i would be tempted to stay there again, but feel there are a lot of other places that are worth a look first. Enjoy yout stay!!

Review of 'Natali Torremolinos'

16 November 2006
My advice to anyone planning to stay at the Natali is to book the room only as it is difficult to get a meal.
Our party of three stayed there last week on a full board basis and did manage to find a table for dinner on the first evening which we found to be very enjoyable.
However breakfast next day was a 'free for all' with no vacant tables and people standing all around the restaurant. We gave up and went for breakfast down the road.
Back to the hotel at night for dinner, where already there was already a queue of around thirty people waiting to get into the restaurant. The queue stayed that long for the next one and a half hours. We gave up and went out for a meal.
A quick look in the restaurant next morning, same chaos as the previous day.
At this point we made the decision to take all our meals out of the hotel.
The service in both the reception and the bar was very pleasant and friendly.
The rooms very clean and made up every day.
The hotel is ideally situated to explore the town.
Would we stop there again? - probably - but only on a room basis, with all meals being taken elsewhere

Cheap clean friendly hotel.  Not too sure how it would work for the all inclusive version as the pool was small and not many activities throughout the day, but a good base for the costa del sol.

I stayed at the Natali with my daughter,we found the hotel to be clean and friendly. It is only a 5 mins walk from the main bus station and 10 mins from the main area. The hotel is mainly catered towards the Spanish and the food if given half a chance is ok.There were a few British people in the hotel at the time of our visit.

Just arrived back from this Hotel, had a comfortable stay clean and tidy but please bear in mind if you are travelling out of season then this Hotel caters mainly for Spanish visitors. I did not personally find this a problem but it is better to be aware before you travel if this is not to your liking.

The hotel was very nice and clean. It is in the town but not too far to the beach 10 mins walk if you like to be near to the shops bars etc this is the one. Food is not the best I've had but far from the worst. This hotel is good for the price. Just across the road is the bus station where you can catch bus to all down the coastline. Staff were very good, nice swimming pool, plenty of cheap spanish bars about  good to live the typical spanish life
