July 2008

A very relaxing fortnight. Weather was excellent, as was the hotel. A quiet location but with busier amenities a short taxi drive away. Fantastic location directly by a small beach. The food was to a very good standard with enough choice. Many healthy options were offered too. All staff were pleasant and helpful, the room cleanliness to a high standard. We would certainly return to this hotel for another holiday.

Everything Great

24 July 2008
First time I've been on holiday by myself (daughter 18 and doing her own thing now). I had a single room which was very nice and had great views over the beach and mountains. Everything about the hotel was clean and well looked after. Meals were very good and I was placed on a table in the restaurant with the other solo travellers so wasn't left on my own. Alcudia and Alcudia Port are both close by with lots to do in the evening. Not many children at the hotel (14/07 - 21/07) but the ones that were there were well behaved. Do not go to this hotel if you want a lively holiday, this hotel is best for those people who want peace and quiet and relaxation!! The only problem was the other hotel - now run by the French and they had taken over the beach with all the sunbeds and seemed to think that if you were British they could commendeer the sunbeds at whatever time they decided to go to the beach (there is nothing anywhere to say that the sunbeds belong to the Panoramic Hotel). All in all a very nice hotel in a wonderful location - would highly recommend it.

just landed back (3/6/07) from an excilent holiday celibrating my friend bab's big 50, from start to finish, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. even joined in with singing happy birthday in the dinning roon to the suprize of bab's,the food was vairied and deliciouse. we met new friends who we will be keeping intouch with and many more, all were happy to stop for chat and say how they were enjoyin the hotel. definetly a relaxing place to be alround and if needed a lively time can be had in the port d'alcudia then back to relax in the hotel, pool or beach. thankyou for making our holiday as good as we could ask for, hopefully will return soon to show it off and it's beautifull surounding to my partner. thanks xx

The hotel is well located (1 Km from the center of Alcudia), just in front of the beach.

It has a small but nice pool, rooms are clean and well furnished (but no TV), and the food (buffet) is OK.

peaceful

THE HOTEL MORE WAS CLEAN AND ABOVE BASIC, THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND PLENTY OF IT. THERE WAS NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT WHICH WAS INTERESTING, THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. FROM MY BALCONY I HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS AND THE BEACH IS JUST A FEW FEET AWAY FROM THE HOTEL. YOU CAN CATCH A BUS INTO OLD ALCUDIA FOR 1 EURO, AND A TAXI IS BEST TO GO INTO TOWN FOR 5 EUROS AND LESS. I ASKED THEM TO MAKE PAELLA AND THEY DID THE NEXT NIGHT ALONG WITH MANY OTHER DISHES. MY DAUGHTER LOVED THE CRABS THAT SHE COULD CATCH ON THE BEACH AT NIGHT!

I THOUROUGHLY ENJOYED MY STAY THERE, IT WAS VERY PEACEFUL, AND IF YOU WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE NO BODY TRIES TO INTERFERE. THE POOL IS JUST ACROSS THE ROAD, AND ALTHOUGH ISNT SO BIG IT IS PLENTY FOR THE CHILDREN.

ALL IN ALL THE HOTEL MORE IS GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!

The hotel is situated in what I would call a village location it sits on a small sandy bay with stunning views looking out towards the med and mountains. It has a small sandy beach a swimming pool and terrace where sunbeds and chairs are provided for you to lie and relax or sit and fish, fishing seemed to be popular with many guests during our stay at the more. The sea itself was not so appealing I found it most unsuitable for swimming it is very rocky and does hurt the feet but don’t be put off at the end of the beach follow the lane round and after about 15mins walk you will find another bay that too has sunbeds, refreshments and water that’s as clear as crystal for miles out, a must for any visitor to this part of the island it’s paradise. The hotel itself is not actually in Alcudia it is approx 20mins from old Alcudia and maybe another 10 into the port, this isn’t a problem because a bus service runs 4 times a day from right outside and costs 1euro and at night a taxi only costs 5euro and both take you into the heart of Alcudia. The hotel is a small friendly place it has spacious rooms with a balcony a bathroom which has both bath and shower a telephone and plenty of cupboard space. It is spotlessly clean maid services everyday and sheets are changed mid week. The buffet was first class, full cooked breakfast lunch and dinners may not be such a wide variety of choice but it can be said you definitely get quality not quantity. The hotel bar is open from 8am to 1am it offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks and snacks can also be purchased. It has sky TV a pool table and internet access. The entertainment room has doors that open out onto another terrace so you have the choice to sit inside or out on warm evenings. The entertainment was low key it was on 4 nights out of our seven. In the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel you only have 1 other hotel 2 English bars and a small supermarket, both bars provided a wide choice of English beers, a good menu was available at the one if you wanted to dine out and the other provided nightly entertainment and bingo. All staff were very friendly and welcoming not only in the hotel but in the other bars and shop too. In all the hotel is ideally situated you have peace and tranquillity if you want it, if you don’t 10mins ride and you have the hustle and bustle of a busy port with plenty of shops bars and clubs.

A perfect hotel for a quiet break.  The hotel was clean and staff generally friendly.  Breakfast and evening meals excellent, with a wide choice of freshly cooked food available at the buffet.  Comfortable rooms with balconies overlooking the mountains cannot be criticised.

The hotel is NOT in Puerto de Alcudia! - it is a 20 minute walk from the old town of Alcudia, with the Port a further 10 minute bus ride away, though buses are cheap and frequent.

Facilities within close walking distance of the hotel are limited with just one small supermarket and two British-style bars nearby.  This adds to the intimacy, but means the resort is not suitable for those after lively night-life.  Though good entertainment is occasionally provided in the hotel bar prices here are a bit expensive.

The beach is a little disappointing by Majorcan standards as it is a bit narrow and stoney in places, if you are after long stretches of clean white sands perhaps this isn't the location for you.  It is perfectly acceptable though, and being just a few metres from the hotel the proximity is ideal.

If you are after a quiet holiday in an intimate setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts, then this hotel is highly recommended.
