A hotel with a view of one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe. The Montecastillo Hotel, located in the heart of one of the most beautiful European golf courses, is more of a palace than a hotel, blending magnificently into the rolling hills of Andalusia. The Montecastillo Resort is comprised of a four-floor hotel with 20 adjacent villas set in castle grounds with an 18-hole golf course, and is located nine kilometres from Jerez. The 220 Andalusia-style guestrooms come equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, safes and minibars, while villa accommodation also has kitchenettes with microwaves and refrigerators. Guests can take a refreshing dip in one of two outdoor pools or head for the spa where there is an indoor pool, dry and steam saunas, hot tub, solarium and massage and beauty treatment rooms. More active guests can make use of the gym. The hotel faces onto an 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and guests can join the VIP Golf Academy with practise facilities available to professionals and groups. There are also two football pitches on site, as well as four table tennis tables, multipurpose courts and a jogging track. The castle adjacent to the hotel is home to the golf clubhouse as well as 14 conference rooms with capacity for up to 300 people. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby, where multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer advice on local sightseeing opportunities. The resort is just nine kilometres from the town of Jerez, famous for its wine and horses, and 35 from the medieval castles, churches and whitewashed houses of Cadiz. Seville, Andalusia's capital, is 78 kilometres from the hotel. Jerez De La Frontera Airport is 12 kilometres away, a drive of around 15 minutes.
